Stayed here for 6 nights on a business trip. The location is great if you are on a business trip and need to be close to the city but also good if you are a tourist and don't mind not being "off Oxford". It is right next to the Tower Hill tube station and next to the Tower bridge. The... More

We chose the hotel for its location and lovely view over Tower Bridge. There was no view and the location I can live with. After our first evening out, we returned to the hotel bar. We asked if we could have a coffee only to be told that they don't serve it after 11.00pm and it would take too long... More

I stayed there monday to wednesday on business. I chose the place (never stayed in a Grange hotel before) because of location and facilities: openable room windows and gym/sauna. I was really impressed - by the super friendly Welcome at the reception, size and style of the room, great breakfast and overall ease. Every little detail had nicely worked. Really... More

The ride from Gatwick Airport to Grange Hotel was a long ride but once I got to the hotel, I was quite fine with it. The hotel was very centrally located, clean, pleasant staff, nice room and good food. I got great value for the money. I most certainly would stay here again.

This is pitched as a 5 star hotel but being honest it's quite tired and dated looking now and I'd suggest it somewhat struggles as a 4 star on the building alone. The staff are excellent and so pleasant, nothing is ever a worry. I have stayed here a few times on business as the location is fantastic and getting... More

Excellent stay at this wonderful relaxing hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Ideally located for most attractions with some superb restaurants and bars nearby. Will definitely return in the near future

My Mum has always wanted to stay in this hotel so for her 60th we booked her in as a surprise. I let the hotel know that it was a special occasion but was not expecting anything special. Upon check in my Mum and Dad was notified they had been upgraded which they was so happy about, their room had... More

My hubby booked us in to stay at the hotel for our first anniversary and it was lovely. Staff were so polite and helpful from check in to check out. We stayed in room 714 which has a view of the garden/yard plus we had a great views of the Tower Of London and Tower Bridge. Room was spotlessly clean... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
