Stayed here a few times. Really well appointed and good value for money. Priced at the premier inn and Citizen level but a whole lot better. Well appointed rooms with tea and coffee. Great showers and comfortable bed.

The staff at the hotel are amazingly helpful - if this review was about them alone it would get 5 stars. The view was lovely too - seeing the Tower of London out of the side of the window but.....and it's a big but..... the mattress quality was atrocious - lumpy, soft and the sheets did not cover it. The... More

Took my wife to London for a birthday weekend adventure. First impressions of hotel were excellent. We were very excited when we were offered a free room upgrade. When we got to the room we were very pleased. Looked quite palatial with 2 double beds! The only downside was that the heating was not working. We don't do cold so... More

We have just returned from a weekend spa break at this hotel and we have loved every minute. It was a special weekend for us and we were really hoping not to be disappointed and we weren't at all. We received a complimentary upgrade on our room and the staff were all absolutely lovely, we could not fault anything. The... More

This should be pretty marvellous. It's got everything going for it, even though the rooms are blandly corporate. But it's comfy, it's warm, it's got a beautiful spa and pool and it's very conveniently placed in the City of London. However, when I returned to my room after my swim - wearing my towelling dressing gown - neither of my... More

Spent last night here after a girls day out. We booked with lastminute.com and had a free upgrade to a suite on arrival. Lovely comfy beds, fabulous power shower and lush cosmetics. We didn't use any of the other facilities such as the spa or restaurants but I would definitely stay here again.

From the moment I began checking in at the Grange City, I was disappointed. While the lobby is beautiful, the staff member who checked me in looked fed up and annoyed that he had to help me. He mumbled and gave me no information unless I asked - even about where breakfast was! Next I got to the room which... More

I stayed here for business. Not where I usually stay but it was close to a work event I was attending. The location is brilliant - very close to a lot of tourist attractions. Whereas there is nothing "wrong" with the hotel I thought it was just a bit jaded. The decor is right out of the late 80's and... More

Stayed in room 306 which was very comfortable and spacious. However on Saturday night it became clear it was above a function room as there was loud live music playing until 1am. The whole room, especially the bathroom, shook with the noise and we couldn't get to sleep until it finished. None of the staff had warned us about this,... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
