I had a business stop over at Travelodge Liverpool Street. The hotel is a little bit dated inside but it is adequately appointed, safe and the staff are friendly and helpful. One thing to note – if you get the dinner included deal this does not include ANY meal as advertised. That aside, the hotel is fine.

I needed a hotel room on a Sunday night so I could get to a meeting very early on the Monday morning. I was greeted by Sylvester who went out of his way to assist me. My room was very clean and had everything I needed. The water was piping hot. Tea and coffee was available. A fan in the... More

This hotel needs some love. It's in a great location and could be fantastic but I get the impression it's been forgotten about by Travelodge. I should have known I was in for a bad stay when I arrived to hear a man complaining about the hotel to the manager. First things first, the staff on reception seems to be... More

I stayed here for one night and appericate the current hot weather but the hotel was so hot. Even with the fan on the room was very very hot and was unable to open window due to noise. The hotel is excellently located. Staff are friendly, rooms are clean. The food in the cafe bar is average at best although... More

This Travelodge is located well, only a 10 minute walk to the closest underground. The room we had (220) was clean, but rather small, particularly the bathroom. The bathroom had very untasteful bright blue tiles and there were lots of small holes in the walls. The sheets were clean, but I thought Travelodge was known for having king-sized beds? I... More

Stayed here for a night, the staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was lovely and fresh. Great location only a few minutes to the tube and bus. My only problem is there were no air-conditioning and the place was really hot.

Excellent location, less than 5 minute walk from Liverpool Street. Breakfast was good - not a huge choice but more than enough, and more importantly hot and tasty. The room was clean and a good size. It was very, very hot in the room but I did stay on the hottest day of the year and the fan supplied helped.... More

Stayed at the Travelodge London Liverpool Street for a couple of nights. The service from the staff was ok, however the temperature in the room was incredibly hot. We complained about the temperature to the staff and were told that fans were provided for cooling, and there was no other option. The temperature got soooo hot that we ended up... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
