We chose to stay at this hotel as wanted time to explore brick lane which is only about a 5 minute walk away. The travelodge was situated 5 minute walk from Liverpool street station which was really convenient. The staff at the hotel were really helpful and let us leave our bags at the hotel before check in time so... More

Bog standard Travelodge accommodation. Plain and simple. Fair price. Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff. But, not the cleanest - bathroom was a bit "grotty" in the corners and there were remnants of the previous occupants (empty toiletry packaging) on the shelves. It's also very hot - surprisingly no Aircon. But for the price it's fair value. Didn't eat here... More

Helpful and friendly staff and the hotel is very close to some great pubs, good food and the Liverpool St. underground station. As an aside it's almost impossible to get lost while walking around as the huge, iconic buildings in the immediate area are impossible to miss.

I have stayed in several Travelodge's in recent months and this one compares very favourably. I'm due to be back here is a couple of weeks. Very clean and with a comfortable bed I had a lovely sleep. There is double glazing to keep out street noise and this works in the main. The front desk staff are friendly and... More

Good place to stay for the night. Staff were friendly and helpful and the food tasted good. However the breakfast would have been even nicer if it was hot. Although it had been under the buffet heat lamps it was barely warm. This is the only reason why I'm giving this rating. Overall a good stay.

Clean room, comfy bed, good location and friendly staff. However felt like it was located on the entrance to hell due to the temperature in the corridors and rooms (visited in August). Fans provided some mild relief.

Have just got home from staying 3 nights at this hotel. The positives are that its very clean, great location - few mins walk to Liverpool street station, every member of staff we met (except one - will get to that) were very friendly and polite, asked us (and were genuine) how we were doing, how our day had been,... Situated in the middle of a build up urban area. Menu in room offering late night food from 10pm till 6am but when I tried to order I was told that particular Travelodge does not provide that service.

Clean comfortable great value for money. Stayed here for access to city of London for a wedding. Very convenient friendly staff who allowed us to check in early to get changed for the wedding. Rooms have everything you need for an overnight stay.

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
