Loved this hotel. Great location in central London. Old character building well kept up with new windows and patio door to very small balcony. Our room backed onto a park made it very quiet at night. Comfortable beds not very many rooms in a hallway...More
stayed here with Wifey for a few nights June 2017, had a room with a view of the square - room overlooked the green.

I originally booked a hotel on Canary Wharf but decided that we wanted to be closer to the centre. Found this one at short notice and we were really pleased. Great location, nice, clean tidy room with everything we needed. Within walking distance of main...More
When we remember that London is about 2000 years old and the US isn't, we understand why many of the hotels in the UK are not what we might have expected, with tiny rooms, funky bathrooms, and no AC! All this considered, the Grange Rochester...More

If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are
highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.

The area this hotel is in is one of the nicest in London. It is a straight shot down a major street to get to and from the hotel to Victoria, there shouldn't be any fears what so ever with the area. Or to be honest, London as a whole for the most part. I stayed in this area of London for quite some time the last time I was there, one night at the Grange Rochester. Was out on the street walking between Victoria and locations in this area as early as 5-6am, and as late as 1-2am. Never had a single problem, or saw anything to worry about.
I requested a bath when I booked my single and still ended up with only a shower. The hotel was full that night however, and I had booked a 'small single', so my request might have actually been impossible.
