I stayed here for a couple of nights on business. It was the hottest day of the year so far, so the first thing you notice is the lack of comfort cooling. There was a fan in the wardrobe, which helped a little but you'd need to request a cotton sheet for the bed. The room in the stock photo... More

We booked a triple room, for nights at start and end of a tour. The room was too small, no room to put down three bags Insanely hot - the rooms absorb heat Reception staff who cannot speak English, over the top check in requirements, even for their "valued" frequent stayers Do not believe their web site which states the... Did not have a room that looks like the photo in their ad. This hotel is located in a lovely, extremely quiet location. Our room was very large, but the furnishings were a little old and worn. There were only desk type drawers to store our clothes, the room needed a small dresser to fit the bill. Even though there... More

This hotel is a gem. The staff are superb and very polite. The decor is gorgeous and well kept. The dining room ceiling is particularly special. Our rooms were well appointed, clean and tidy. The beds are low although that was not a great issue. Our party consisted of three double rooms with two of the rooms being used by... More

We have stayed at this hotel on two other occasions but this was the first time in 7 years and it was just as we had remembered. We arrived at the hotel at 11am as we had an early coach into Victoria station, we easily walked the 15 mins from the station. Our room wasn't ready as we were too... More

Really enjoyed our one night. Was a utility stay for us so can't speak to the feel of being there for days. Location, of course, wonderful and quiet on Vincent Sq. lots of business travelers, some families (like ours). Kids loved glass elevator and candy at front desk. Porters with humor and very helpful. Room clean. Pillows nice. No AC... More

The good points about this hotel were: the conceige (the young bonde guy) was lovely and super helpful, the location is fab and a very short walk from Victoria, the room was clean and cleaned every day and it has free wifi. It was also quite quiet, I hardly heard anyone else in the evening. The bad points: it was... More

The room was quite big and had 2 double beds (was travelling by myself), Like another review here I thought the TV was broken until I discovered the middle light switch in the bank of 3 near the door actually turns the wall sockets on. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The only downside is the lack... More

We stayed here for a few nights with our family. We booked a family room which turned out to be two double sized beds stuffed into a small room which left very little space to navigate. Also, there is no a/c at this hotel. The breakfast is average at best - there is a Cafe Nero a few blocks down... More

Stayed at the Wellington Grange round the corner a few times and found it okay. This sister hotel in the Grange Group is something of an ugly sister. I've heard colleagues say avoid the Rochester in the summer as most rooms do not have air conditioning. I wish I had heeded that advice. My single room wasn't big enough to... More

Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
