Staff on reception were mixed in terms of helpfulness and welcoming. Arrived before check in and asked to leave bag in a secure area, this turned out to be behind the desk... so not very secure indeed. Booked a double room, which was tiny! Bathroom was fine and clean. Perhaps ring ahead and check what room you will be in, as we could barely swing a cat in ours.

The hotel is in a great location between Paddington and Lancaster Gate stations. When we checked in we were told our room had been upgraded which we thought brilliant, however it was in the basement next to the staff entrance so very noisy even during the night, it was also right below reception so again late into the night we could hear walking about. We had booked B and B but We weren’t told that breakfast was being served, we only found this out on the first morning when we got up to get it and the breakfast room was closed, we managed to find a member of staff who said that breakfasts weren’t being done for a few weeks. There was no apology or offer to refund us some money, so we had the added stress and expense of having to find places which did breakfast. Hindsight is a wonderful thing & yes may be we should of said about the noise (room not being suitable) and being slightly peeved at not having breakfast. It’s an ok place to stay if you just want somewhere to put your head, it’s clean tidy and well presented and you get what you pay for.

The location of this hotel is very good, as is the reception. Make just sure you get a room that is not in the basement so you'll take full advantage of the view to the outside world ! And you sleep quality may depend on it ! Good breakfast, and really nice people who work at this hotel. To recommend !

Good hotel near London city centre. A fine breakfast is provided, although no fresh bakery or bread is included. The rooms are confortable, although some have no window. The staff is excellent and always ready to help you out.
