    We stayed 8th-10th
So we have just returned from a weekend stay (8-10th)at this hotel On the whole the trip was lovely and the hotel fantastic. The only negative I have to say is the difficulty we had prior to our stay regarding communicating the needs of one of the children who has celiacs. Two day prior to coming we had both emailed and phoned the hotel ( on the phone over 30 mins and put through to serval people as no one seemed to know who should be dealing with our request) to inform them that one of the children had celiacs ( very serious reaction to gluten) after being put through to five different people , we were assured that it was documented in the booking notes and that the chef had been emailed. we expressed the importance of her food needing to be cooked separately as failing to do so could lead to hospitalisation of the child. On arriving to the hotel we were greeted by a lady who was lovely and polite and made a fuss of the children. However there was no record of conversation regarding the dietary needs on the booking form. The lady also didn’t know if the chef had been made aware. To be fair this was sorted pretty quickly and the chef phoned directly and reassured us her food would be prepared separately for breakfast for the child and even agreed to sort out gluten free sausages as that’s all she wanted and liked. It was resolved at the hotel quickly however a little frustrated that we had already given all this information two days prior and nobody documented or communicated same. This made check in and the star to our trip a little stressful and could have been avoided. From then on our experience was fantastic. The staff were really lovely and went above and beyond. Especially the concierge who was friendly, informed the children of activities and offered assistants when required. Helped with our bags and went above and beyond. Also the chef and the kitchen staff once they were aware of the dietary needs they were more than happy to follow instructions and ensure we all had a lovely stress free breakfast. They even made my niece a gluten free lemon drizzle cake which she said was yummy. The rooms were very clean and had everything you need. The room Was a little hot but we were fine with the window open AC didn’t appear to be working even with window shut but like I said we were fine. Bar staff and restaurant staff were lovely and polite. The hotel it’s self was situated near to the underground and Victoria street. Perfect if your going to see wicked as we were as in the same road as the theatre. Lots of lovely bars and restaurants close by and not overly priced. Close enough to walk to all the famous attractions like the place. St James park. My family joined us on the Saturday however hadn’t booked into the hotel and had booked an apartment close by. On arriving to their accommodation they found it to be dirty and not in a very nice area of London. Nothing like what was advertised in the pictures. They phoned me in a panic as felt unable/unsafe to stay their. I spoke to the hotel and they was able to provide them with two double rooms straight away. All in all a lovely experience and will be returning very soon. As will all the party (11 in total) will be. Just an easier process to communicate special or dietary needs required.

  • Excellebt Location and Excellent Hotel
Very handy right near Victoria station, in the thick of all that London can offer. The hotel staff are not only efficient, professional but also friendly and are happy to go that extra mile. The bedroom situated on the 4th floor, was well equipped with iron, ironing board, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities was spotlessly clean with a lovely comfy bed. All lighting, curtains, a/c operated by a handy "gadget" alongside the bed. Only one down side there was a loud either a/c or water hammer noise that awoke me a couple of times during the night. It was extremely loud and caused the glasses on the dressing table to vibrate. I'd certainly stay again though, the excellent service and friendly staff really did top a disturbed night's sleep!
What a wonderful review, Mandy! Thank you for sharing your kind words and for appreciating our hard-working team. I cannot wait to share your compliments with them, it will put a smile on their faces! We are sorry you encountered some issues in your room. Please do not hesitate to inform our team next time and they will be there to assist you with no time! We hope your next stay with us is just around the corner! -Ilona

Excellent two night stay at the Park Plaza Victoria
We stayed for two nights (18th / 19th Sept 2020) at the Park Plaza Victoria and it was pretty much perfect in every way. Our Executive Room was of a very good size as indeed was the bathroom. Both the bedroom and the bathroom were spotlessly clean. Given, at the time of writing, we were living in these Covid times, I should point out that the bedroom had been sanitized prior to our arrival and all the things we were likely to handle, e.g. the TV remote control, the telephone etc had all been sanitized and sealed too. While we are on the subject of Covid Security, there was plenty of hand sanitizer around the hotel and also our temperature was taken upon our arrival. I don't think the hotel could have done much more to ensure we were safe from the virus and this was very much appreciated. The staff at the Park Plaza Victoria were both very professional and very friendly. We were given a warm welcome upon our arrival on the Friday afternoon (apologies I can't remember the gentleman's name at reception who welcomed us) and within a few minutes of us accessing our room, the same gentleman gave me a call to ensure that we were happy with our room, which we were of course. I thought that the call was a nice touch. The lady that took our room service order for drinks to be delivered to our room, on the Friday evening, was also very helpful. As I say, the staff were always friendly and happy to assist. The hotel is in a very good location in the Victoria area. It was perfect for us as we were meeting friends and family at a couple of nearby establishments not far from the hotel (walking distance) so this was very convenient. Indeed there are many bars, pubs and restaurants within walking distance from the hotel so if its a night out in Victoria that you are seeking, then this hotel would be perfect for your stay. I can't comment on the food as we never ate at the hotel as we always had breakfast outside. I imagine the breakfast is very good, it was just that we liked to go for a walk in the morning and have breakfast while we were out. If I have any gripe about the hotel, it was that the drinks were quite expensive I thought. However, as we are staying in a very good hotel in Central London, perhaps this is the 'going rate'. Overall though, I have to say we really enjoyed our stay here as it was perfect in virtually every way, and we would have no hesitation in staying here again the next time we are in London.
What a wonderful review, Martin! Thank you very much for your detailed comment on our services. We are delighted your time with us was satisfactory and that you enjoyed our friendly teamwork. I am sorry you found our drinks pricey, however, we hope you enjoyed the service. We sincerely hope to welcome you back in the future for another pleasant stay. Best wishes, Ilona

Stayed with family in one of the apartments on the 8th floor. The balcony was fantastic asw was the view. There is a little kitchenette but only 2 wine glasses, 2 tumpblers, 2 cups and spoons with a Nespresso machine with 4 capsules. It was only a one night stay to see Hamilton at the nearby theatre. Lots of space and I totally recommend. One of opur best stays in London and the staff were helpful and friendly. One small downside was that the 4 lifts were under maintenance with only one working sometimes.

During 6 nights, I found the non-cleaning room when I got back around 4-5 PM 2 times, despite turned on the cleaning signal at 9 or 10 AM. I appreciated the inspecting staff verifying the housekeeping service, but it would be better if the hotel staff completed this task before 3 PM.

Stayed for 2 nights midweek. Outside signage is RIU Plaza which could be confusing. Location is near the Victoria stations, Wicked theatre, upmarket Belgravia and trendy Pimlico with pubs, cafes and eateries everywhere. We liked Peggy Porschen cafe in Belgravia and Dim T Asian restaurant a few doors down from the hotel. Ole Steen bakery was on our list to try for brunch but their tills had gone down which in this techno age meant they were not serving food. Hotel reception was very efficient. The room was OK, a little dated with an uninspiring view of the other side of the hotel, spacious, one easy chair, a desk with chair, a fridge, tea / coffee / bottled water which was replenished and a small bathroom with deep bath and overhead shower. The air con was very quiet, the room is well soundproofed and everything is operated from a little console (curtains, lights & aircon). The niggles were the corner of a duvet looked like it had been dunked in coffee (not by us) and was stained and a staff member repeatedly knocked on our door despite the “do not disturb” sign being switched on, looking for their mobile phone (which wasn’t in our room). I get that misplacing a mobile causes panic but there are better ways of asking to look in a room when DND is active. We didn’t eat in the hotel so can’t comment. We used the bar area which is spacious, well stocked and expensive, as you’d expect in a 4* London hotel. It deserves its 4* for the quality of what if offers and the location is great if you want to be in the west part of central London.

Arrived late from business - desperate for bath to relax. no bath plug - when it arrived it was too small so useless. Room service took an hour to arrive after I chased up and was stone cold, the sauce had a film on it where it had been sitting getting old.

The hotel is ideally located near Victoria Station and boasts a brand-new facility, which is an added perk. The staff are incredibly hospitable, always ready to assist with even the smallest tasks. Rooms are tastefully designed with minimalist furniture and have an eco-friendly touch. Guests are provided with basic tea and coffee amenities in the room, featuring a kettle for instant brews. The room's decor is stylishly modern, and the lighting in the hotel complements it perfectly.

Very good for a quick stay in a central location. Train station nearby. Some further minutes’ walk to Buckingham Palace, shops, restaurants, and so on. If required one can avail of underground, bus, taxi to go to museums which are a bit further away. The staff was great. Excellent concierge service. Very good breakfast as well.
