I really enjoyed my time at the ibis in Stratford. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was clean , tidy and chic. Transport links were good from the hotel as there are buses just outside and the tube was only a few minutes walk away or one stop on a bus. The breakfast in the morning was delicious also! Highly recommend.
The Stratford Ibis is so much value for money. It’s not pretending to be flash, but does deliver so much and does it well. Location is in the Stratford CBD, so access to great Westfield Mall, local pubs and the transport hub including Underground with Central Line with London only 10 min away, and the above-ground train to beyond London. My room and facilities were clean, warm, more than adequate, and quiet despite adjacent roads. Breakfast smorgasbord was superb. Highly recommend. You can grab a beer or wine at the end of the day too. Service very helpful and friendly. I would happily come back and highly commend for budget-conscious travellers.
My home-from-home in London. Convenient for the Tube, shops and eateries, clean, comfortable and surprisingly quiet given its location. I would give it 5 stars but for the not-quite-finished refurbishment, which seems to have been going on for ever. Good Ibis breakfast (with Marmite !). I stay here often and it never disappoints. Cheerful staff.
Extremely happy with decision to stay here. Previous reviews are very accurate. The hotel is clean, excellent bed, WiFi works great. I liked the location close to transport. Using central line you are in the heart of central London in 20 minutes. If you are a soccer fan the hotel location is great to visit WHU (walking), Tottenham and Arsenal. Also very convenient to the trendy East side. Hotel is indeed in a lower income area so restaurant choices are quite limited but you will still find plenty of ok options to eat. Area after dark becomes a little sketchy. Although I never felt unsafe, I felt need to exercise caution. Staff are professional but I suggest ladies at reception be told it’s not against the rules to be friendly and perhaps even smile to customers.
Hotel is located aprox 10 mins walk from the Stratford railway station (a little further from Stratford International). Be aware that arriving at the hotel after dark should be done with caution. It is necessary to walk through a shopping mall where many homeless people take shelter in the evening. Sadly I have seen incidents being dealt with by the police every time I walk to this hotel. Hotel itself is fine and the staff are friendly. There are many small restaurants nearby including family-friendly options like Nandos, McDonalds etc. There is noise from traffic, however I have never found this affects sleep too much. Usually the best value option when staying in Stratford area.
