We stayed at the Clermont July 27 to Aug 1. We were delighted with the experience. From check-in until check-out, the people were accommodating, courteous, and friendly. We were early for our check-in and it was not a problem to leave our bags with them until our room would become available. The room was impeccable. The breakfast was taken in the lunch room and the buffet was very good. One of the staff (Diana) was fantastic with us, suggesting places for dinner and/or suggesting attractions. Very friendly. The hotel is adjacent to the Victoria Station which can be accessed from inside the hotel, very convenient to get and catch the train. We were heading to London, Gatwick, and there is the Gatwick Express that takes you directly to the airport with no stops. Within 30 minutes you are there. Then from there, you need to walk and take another train within the airport if you have to go to North Terminal, within 5 minutes, we were there. I would recommend the Clermont for his location (10 minutes walk from Buckingham Palace).…
5 stars from me excellent customer service I booked the Clermont for a few days break in London for my wife's birthday we arrived in London early so went straight to the Hotel to drop our bag off and then collect when we book in later to my surprise they had our room ready for early book in also gave us an upgrade as it was my wife's birthday brilliant, we took our bag to the room then spent the day walking round London when we got back to our room their was a big slice of cake with a lovely note from the staff wishing my wife a happy birthday. great experience and will definitely return .. As you can see from the picture, this is a very elegant and luxurious hotel, extremely well-situated next to Victoria Station and Tube and very handy for shows such as Hamilton and Wicked. The staff could not have done more to make us feel welcome. They were very attentive and extremely friendly, helpful and cheerful at all times, making our stay a joy. Our Son received a welcome gift of wine and cakes in his room and also a birthday cake when we ate in the restaurant! We were not conscious of any noise from the street, it was actually very peaceful inside the hotel, an oasis of calm. I highly recommend this hotel. Perfect!
I had rang to see if my room could be ready at 14.00 to be told by a very rude person that they could not do that. I wanted to get ready for my sons wedding rehearsal and got told I could change in the toilets. After a 3 hour journey we arrived to be told the room was not ready so I had to go to my sons room. The lady said when I arrived that she told me on the phone it would not be ready. They did not even tell me when the room was ready I had to go down. Then to top it all I had booked a king deluxe which was right outside a pub. They e tie-Ed bottles at 11.30 then the dustbin men did the buns at 5.30. I know this is out of there control but you would think. More expensive room would be given a better more quiet area. Very bad experience rude staff.
Thanks so much for excellent service in The Soak. Arnel was professional and welcoming after a long day at work. What a pleasure to find someone who is a true hospitality professional with a fabulous customer rapport.
We went there on our honeymoon and the décor is top notch, service was nice. Fawzia was the server for our table and she greeted us with a warm smile. We requested a booth for more relaxing dinning experience despite we didn't make a reservation, Fawzia was quick to help,we really appreciate it. About the main, we ordered Sea bass and Salmon. Skin was crispy, great creamy risotto. We paired it with a crisp chenin blanc. Followed by a superb Eton Mess and Earl grey pana cotta. Perfect night for my perfect wife.
Had the pleasure to stay at this hotel recently and was allocated the most wonderful room which was immaculately clean. Sarah on reception deserves a special mention for making our stay extra special. The staff in general were all very pleasant and breakfast plentiful. The location was perfect within walking distance of many attractions , looking forward to returning ! Would not hesitate to recommend.
Limited service from the front desk. They were unable to take care of our post cards but advised us to spend valuable time buying stamps in at a nearby store and then find a post box. The bed was small and not the premium you'd expect from an upscale hotel. The breakfast was buffet only. We usually opt for five star hotels when travelling around Europe, but London is very expensive. Nonetheless, we have had much better in other four stars hotels in London before. We would not stay here again. Nice hotel, though, but the aria is busy and messy.
We stayed at the Clermont for about 10 days and had a good stay. The location of the hotel is right next to Victoria station and there is even direct access to the station from within the hotel (very convenient indeed!). However it’s location means the rooms tend to be small and one has to be very careful of pickpockets! My husband had his phone stolen by an apparent panhandler when he was having breakfast at a sidewalk cafe with our kids. My uncle also had his wallet swiped while crossing a busy pedestrian walk!! What made our stay above average was the great staff at the hotel. It’s a busy hotel for high profile business meetings so the staff are very busy and overstretched almost - however when I lost some medication of my son the head of security Stan (I hope I got the name right - he was from Sophia, Bulgaria) went above and beyond to help me find it in my own luggage! We had checked out of one room and rechecked into another and he went through all the lost and found items to see if he could find the medication. He was very reassuring and offered to take me to the ER services to help get the medication if we didn’t find it. Stan even arranged for an empty conference where I could spread out my luggage and properly go through all my suitcases since the room we were staying in was smaller and made it difficult to lay open all the suitcases . Stan went above and beyond to help My find some very important asthma medication for my son and I shall always be grateful to him for his kind and pleasant attitude and offer to go above and beyond at a time when my husband was already sick and I was stressing out about my son’s medication. Thank you so very much !!…
Just back from a 2 night stay and couldn’t be happier. We booked this hotel on a deal from secret escapes without knowing where it was or what it was like and we were very impressed!! It’s a gorgeous hotel in a perfect location! The breakfast buffet was small but had everything you need(even as a vegetarian) and literally every member of staff here are so polite and courteous! A real credit to the hotel. We booked a twin room. It was nice, not huge but clean and fresh and the beds were comfortable. Complimentary water and sweets were a nice little extra. The soak restaurant is also the perfect place for dinner and drinks. I honestly can’t wait to come back! Thanks for a lovely stay! xx
