This was a one night visit for business in London. The hotel was fine nothing that exceptional either way. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Bit noisy from the road but it is central London. Food was ok . A buffet and nothing wrong with it. Staff , mostly foreign weren't particularly helpful or friendly but that's what you... More

The best thing about this hotel is location. It's close to Russel Square Station (Picadilly line) and British Museum. Breakfast is not good, food have no taste and the staff doesn't seem to care about the clients.

On a short tourist break in London this hotel worked really well. Not over expensive, in an excellent location, so close to the British Museum. The service and staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast was spot on. A good choice of light and cooked food was available. We had a free dinner with our booking and went to the adjoining... More

Staff extremely helpful as always. Rooms suitable and well prepared. Food tasty and plentiful - appropriate for our purposes. Technical support was useful. Temperatures were cosy on a cool day. Access by public transport was easy - eg bus from Waterloo Station.

Room was small. Bathroom had no ventilation, so by the time we left the room went mouldy. The shower sprayed more of the roof than it did me and it was very very small. Also got bed bug bites after staying at this hotel. Positive, very close to Russell square station, on the Piccadilly line.

I loved my stay at the Royal National. For such a low price, the rooms are huge and you can move freely and feel comfortable. They have a storage for luggage, plenty of nearby restaurants and the train is right down the street to Heathrow Airport. We were lucky to have a quiet, clean room. Contiki also uses this hotel,... Disappointing The blanket smelt of smoke. The sheets had holes in them. They looked very much like cigarette holes. There were no chairs in the room. No soap dishes. No shampoo. The bath was dirty. The base of the divan was shabby . On the whole a hotel not to be recommended.

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
