It's a big hotel and we had a problem to find our room for the first two days. There is little staff and nobody to ask for directions. The rooms are small but clean. The TV didn't work but at least the WI FI was free, fast and with good coverage all over the hotel. Poor choices for breakfast.

Location is good. Close to a tube station (Russell Square) or a mile walk to Leicester Square which I did a few times. The hotel itself is huge and very general. All the rooms are pretty much the same. People have mentioned it is clean. Personally I think it could be cleaner. We had a hair clip on the bathroom...

Hated every second of being in the hotel room so tried to stay out of it as much as possible but it was hard considering how cold it was and having a young child who would get tired. Stayed on a Friday and Saturday night and no one bothered to mention they are joined to a night club which blasted...

This hotel is a 10 minute walk from Kings Cross train station and close to Tavistock Square. We walked to London's West End from here and also walked back from Oxford Street to the hotel (probably quicker than relying on taxis!). We were going to jump on a bus back to the hotel but would have had to buy an...

I'll start with the good things: it's cheap and it's clean and close to bus and tube station Either then that it's like a train station. It's big, crowded and not personal. It good enough if you just need a clean shower and a decent bed and you'll stay out all day exploring

We travel on a works outing to London at least once a year from the North East and always stay in a Russell Square Hotel. Previously we have stayed in either the President or the Tavistock, it was our first time in the Royal National. We had a twin room , which was fine for the price we paid, it...

We have been there for 3 nights on November 2016 The room size was ok. We had twin room, and another room with extra bed. The rooms were clean. Small TV, but we didn’t need it.no refrigerator in the room, and my mom needed it for her insulin. So we made a request in the reception, and in one hour...

Affordable, crowded rooms, not necessarily the cleanest. No one stays at this hotel because of its comfort level. If you are going to London to see London, this room will be just fine. Check out the pub on the main level!

The location of the hotel is very good. My room was very clean and well maintained. Because of its sheer size the corridors can be very confusing, but all floors are well serviced by modern lifts. The buffet breakfast has a wide variety of choice. As with most buffets the heat of the food could vary. At the walk in...

The staff is not welcoming, arguing in front of customers and get annoyed when you ask questions. There was an elderly couple who didnt speak English as their native language. They lady at the desk told them to step out the line and make up their mind; they just wanted to check in The room is small and very dirty,...

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
