I expected basic accommodation and that is what it was. The place was fine for a short stay, room was small but pretty clean, things worked, the shower was ok, It was a bit noisy outside, but this is Central London, it was warm. It was basic, no-frills but perfectly fine for the money.

The room was small but perfectly adequate. The standard of the hotel was good a clean and a pleasant place to stay. There's a bit of late night noise from Brick Lane but it wasn't bad enough to keep me awake all night . An extra pillow would have been good, also a mat in front of the shower as water...

I arrived before the advertised 2200 closing time (I was called three times to find out when I would arrive). There was no one to check me in. I then went to the restaurant downstairs and waited about 30 minutes before eventually getting into my room. There's only one member of staff and he doesn't show up until 1130 in...

Hotel in great location as near financial hub, room a good size and great price...........however, it let's itself down, by failing to pay attention to detail. These details could be easily remedied and at very little cost. In no set order - towels were of very poor quality and part torn, no bath mat, no shower gel or shampoo, shower...

Staying in Whitechapel

Neighborhood Profile
Whitechapel
Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.

“I think I set off the smoke alarm from the steam from my shower as I left my en suite door open into my room. Apologies to staff at the hotel and I would recommend that other guests close the bathroom door once inside.”
