This hotel is good value for the money. The rooms are air conditioned and spacious. It is not a bread and breakfast as shown on a website. The stairs are steep up to the rooms. There is not anyone on service 24 hours and a fire alarm went off at 4 am and a guest had to turn off the... More

The access via a restaurant was a bit daunting but the room was large, well equipped ,bed comfortable and shower etc. clean. Not easy to spot as above restaurant with a different name.Check that you have towels as I didn't. Remember that you have paid some money up front. I forgot and so paid £10 over the odds. I had arrived... More

No welcoming/greeting. No change available at reception. Rooms looked less "put together" than pictures display. No towels available. AC/Heater not working. Water all over floors (dangerously slippery) and with no bathmat to mop up. Had to wait for missing receptionist over twenty minutes with no other staff members willing to help us for towels/maintenance/taxi calls. Started painting the walls during... More

Needed a quick stopover place to stay in order to catch an early train from Liverpool Street. Found Brick Lane Hotel on a search site. Prior to arriving checked with them about a late check in and early check out, and this was dealt with efficiently. Arrived, checked in and paid. Had a quick meal downstairs which was nice. I... I often stay in London on a budget, and this hotel is one of the cleanest and has the most modern rooms I have seen for a long time. It is well located near the tube, and for me just a 15 minute walk to the heart of the City. Needless to say there are many Indian food establishments nearby,... More

A basic clean room, what you would expect for a budget hotel. Would have been a pleasant stay but let down by the rude unhelpful staff, never felt comfortable in my room, felt cold and gloomy. Only one flat pillow provided, shower fell apart, curtains wouldn't close because the bed was pushed up against the window. Wouldn't recommend staying here.

Staying in Whitechapel

Neighborhood Profile
Whitechapel
Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.
