While the Premier Inn London Euston hotel is often commended for its central location and proximity to transport hubs, the atmosphere and room conditions receive less favorable feedback. Guests have called out the comfortable beds and overall cleanliness, yet many find the rooms in need of an update and uncomfortably warm due to the lack of effective air conditioning. Reports of noise disturbance are common, although efforts have been made to soundproof. Service experiences vary, with mentions of both friendly and unresponsive staff. Travelers frequently question the hotel's value for money, pointing to high prices and outdated amenities.

4d/3n in this hotel in a family room with our 2 children (12 and 9 years old) in half board (meal deal): the room was clean and spacious for 4 but a little dated for the decor (unsurprisingly, compliant to the photos). The double bed and the bench seat were comfortable but the folding bed was much less so for our youngest. It would have been complicated with 2 teenagers. The bed and bathroom linen were clean. There is good wifi reception in the rooms for surfing without videos.
Breakfast was diverse and English (savory is only hot). The dinner was good but the children's menus (ÂŁ6.50 for main course, dessert, drink) are very simple fast food (hamburger = bread + minced steak without sauce or anything else). Adult meals are tasty.
The location is ideal for transport: 5 minutes walk from Euston (WBS Harry Potter train departure, station of several buses and taxis), Russell Square (bus 14 which took us well to the natural history museum) , 10 minutes from St Pancras and King's Cross.
There are also quite a few choices of small restaurants within a 5-minute walk but we didn't try them.

A very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Would highly recommend. The room was clean and the staff very friendly. A peaceful nights sleep. The breakfast set me up for the day. You know what you get with a Premier Inn.

After reading other reviews I was dreading staying due to people complaining about the temperatures in the room and the quality of the rooms etc. It was 24oC outside when we got to our room (532, top floor family room) but the windows were open, there was a breeze and we had a tall fan in the room which we kept on all night and slept pretty well. There was a shampoo/shower gel and hand wash, plenty of towels and kettle with supplies for tea/coffee plus a hairdryer.

We wanted an early check in but it wasn't available, left luggage with little trouble (and this saved ÂŁ10 early check in) but I must mention that reception was slow due to there only being one person on duty and the majority of us not wanting to use a self service point. Staff were polite and friendly, there was ice cold water and comfy seats for our children to sit and wait on so that wasn't a big problem.

Breakfast was good quality, again staff were friendly and helpful, check in was quick too with a quick table turnover.

Very handy for Euston, with Kings Cross & St Pancras just up the road as well, wouldn't hesitate to stay again if we were visiting London.

Flew over from Belfast for one night to attend a hospital procedure. Room was boiling hot as their air con wasn’t working. A cheap fan was provided in the room but it made it such a sound , you would’ve thought there was an airplane was taking off in the room. So there was no chance of any sleep at all! Next morning I got into the shower and discovered the shower gel unit didn’t work! I got out to dry myself and the towel was absolutely stinking, like the smell of a wet dog! I went into the bedroom to use the second towel only to discover it was exactly the same smell!! . The hand towel was ok but not that’s good enough. I reported all three issues to reception after I got dressed and left the room . The guy on the desk didn’t seem to care and picked up a walk-in talkie saying “I’ll check” he then didn’t seem to speak to anyone and thanked me for letting him know! At the hospital I had a long wait so used the time to send an email to PI who responded saying “ I should’ve reported at the time? ( while in the shower?) and stated that the towels were not smelly. They never mentioned the faulty shower gel unit and more or less dismissed me. I’ve used premier inn hotels for years and years all over the UK and before this I would have recommended them but this made me angry at how they dismissed me and more or less accused me of lying. In addition the room was very expensive. It made a stressful visit all the more stressful. While having dinner at this same hotel on the night of my arrival, two other customers were giving off to the man behind the bar about how they had asked for their room sheets to be changed and it was never done. They had already been their ten days and were there for over two weeks and someone else was shouting at reception when I arrived so maybe it’s only this branch? But I will most certainly never be back. Shame of customer services for not listening to a customer and checking the room at the time I complained. It would’ve taken two minutes and confirmed everything I reported. Since then I have been back to the same hospital and stayed at a travel lodge just around the corner and it had air con and was way above what I expected. I would recommend you stay at travel lodge beside Euston as the staff and rooms etc were excellent.

The hotel is a short walk from Euston Station, and very convenient for accessing the London Underground. Check in was quick and easy. Our room was clean, comfortable, and everything worked. We were facing Euston Road, so there was some street noise, but it didn’t bother us. We paid £78 for a one night stay, which I would consider very good value for money for clean and comfortable London accommodation.

This hotel is the perfect location for anyone arriving into London from Euston/King's Cross. It's really close to multiple tube stops making it perfect to travel around London. The breakfast and evening meals were delicious and the restaurant was lovely, clean and comfortable. I can't praise the staff enough, they were so welcoming and always happy to help. Iced water in the reception was a little touch that was amazing. It's not the most updated Premier Inn I've stayed at but absolutely perfect for what we needed, which was a comfortable base for travelling around London and exploring. The prices in the hotel were much cheaper than I expected, with drinks at the bar costing the same as in Manchester, which was completely unexpected. The meal deal was also very reasonably priced. We purchased early check in for just ÂŁ10 that meant we were checked in before 1pm, and were given a ground floor room near the back of the hotel. Our room was super quiet without the noise of Euston Road (I imagine the rooms round the Euston Road side of the hotel might have been louder as it is such a busy hotel and there is a fire station across the road and also a hospital a close walk away - but if you're tired from sightseeing and exploring you really won't notice a thing) - the little quirk was hearing some of the trains during the day which was really cool. Not the most up to date hotel I've stayed at, but by a long distance my favorite Premier Inn and just what we needed.

I had good expectations for staying at a Premier Inn however their Euston branch was disappointingly lacking in so many ways. Primarily being how stifling hot their rooms are. Impossible to leave a window open due to sirens, traffic, pubs etc outside... Seemingly they know it's hot in their rooms as there's no duvet provided, just a sheet because it would he even hotter with a duvet on.
Zero air con. A pitiful excuse of a fan which wafts the hot air about the room. Subsequently we barely slept a wink.
The hairdryer is bolted too low to the wall and you have to have a full triceps and thumb-cramp work out in order to use it (why is it bolted to a wall?! Is hairdryer theft so rife?)
The breakfast was chaotic and served poor quality items. We stood for sometime waiting to be seated as per their signage. Eventually a member of staff appeared but only after we had to ask if anyone had seen anyone around and a queue had formed behind us. The hashbrowns looked and tasted as though they'd gone stale, almost all items hot and cold empty, the fruit and pastry display was sparse to say the least and the coffee machine gave out barely warm coffee. The table was sticky which was unsurprising after watching the waiter fleetingly wipe it down.
One of the lifts was broken. You also need a key card to use the lift in the first place. We were given a broken key card to begin with so not the best of check ins. And as for check in itself, it's at 3pm and if you want earlier, it's first come first served between the hours of 11 and 12 and if your lucky enough to get that then you pay ÂŁ10 each for the privilege. Premier Inn seem to know how to rinse every last penny out of their customers.
Our advice, if you have to stay there, leave your bags in the luggage room for free and check in later when you're back from your day out.
For a well renowned hotel and in the Capital, this place should be so, so much better. We came away with the sense that they couldn't care a less if you have a nice experience or not. Seemingly you're a captive audience and they can do the bare minimum whilst still charging London prices.

Tip Top budget hotel. The staff were excellent. Extremely pleasant and provided a top class service.
Wi-fi is not brilliant, but good enough for a news and weather catch-up. Compared to similar hotels in the area the price was the best in the area and provided us with a bed in a very quiet room that was also clean and well presented. The hotel is well situated for the Euston and Kings Cross railway stations. Travelling to the main museums is easy. The British Museum and is within walking distance. Besides the restaurant in the hotel there are plenty of restaurants in the area. The Woburn Walk Indian restaurant is highly commendable.

The Premier Inn London Euston was the perfect solution for our English stop at Harry Potter Studios: located a 5-minute walk from Euston train station, the hotel has spacious, spotless and modern rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. On the ground floor there is a restaurant and a chain bar, great for breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Nearby there are many bars and public transport lines to the center (subway and bus). Absolutely recommended.

Unfortunately this is probably the worst premier inn I have stayed in and I use them a lot for work. The main issue is that the air con is broken and sounds like it has been broken for some time. I therefore wonder why they haven’t just had it fixed? They are taking money from people knowing they will have a poor stay (looking at lots of other reviews) yet are not doing anything about it. Not good enough! Central London location and middle of summer, when you can’t open windows due to busiest road outside is awful. I stayed with my husband and daughter and we didn’t sleep all night. The hotel and rooms are also significantly run down. Premier inn justify by saying it states on their website (not very clearly) that there is no air con, but I think they should make it clearer. I didn’t spot it on the site and it’s not in my booking confirmation either. There is an aircon system with controls in the room but it’s broken- sort it out! I also felt really sorry for their staff who were dealing with unhappy customers but could nothing about it. This review is not a reflection of them but of the company and senior managers running it.

Room Tip: Another premier inn literally 2 mins away with working air con. Or better- use a different company

This site doesn’t have air con - I would avoid it for that reason. Nearby Prem Inn at Kings Cross and St Pancreas both have air con. I don’t know about booking - book 9 nights and 1 night, you can connect the bookings on site and keep the same bedroom throughout. Hope you enjoy London - I love it.
