This well situated hotel is managed by pleasant, helpful staff who made us very welcome. Our rather small room overlooked Queens Gate through a lovely large window and the beautiful plane trees. Despite it's small size it was well appointed and the bed really comfortable - no complaints! The ample breakfast was served in the basement dining room which, although... More

I stayed here whilst working in London. I checked in very late after travelling up from Devon. Despite the late hour, the check-in was a breeze. The lady was very welcoming and friendly. My room was very nice, not huge but not too small either. The bed was lovely and the linen felt high quality and clean. The bar area... More

We recently stayed at this Hotel. We chose it because it was in walking distance to the Royal Albert Hall. We were thoroughly impressed. The room was extremely comfortable. The staff very polite and attentive. Breakfast was excellent with a variety of fruits, yogurt, continental style and full cooked breakfast. Even home-made pancakes and churros. We had a lunch and... My husband & I booked this hotel for 3 nights. We were going to a concert at the Albert Hotel and wanted to be within walking distance. The location was excellent. Also not far from Gloucester Road tube station or South Kensington. The hotel was clean and the staff very good. We asked for a quiet room and were given... More

This hotel is in a perfect location for seeing a show in the Royal Albert Hall. It is in a nice part of London surrounded by Embassies from various countries and also not far from the museums of South Kensington. Busses stop nearby to take you to most destinations. Loved my modern elegant room. Breakfast offered an interesting variety in addition to the usual. Churros! And an orange juicer machine that squeezed oranges right into your glass. Plus an espresso maker. Friendly helpful staff, quiet location too.

The reception and bar staff were smiley and friendly. There are two fabulous glass chandeliers covered in a light shade which give an opulent feel. The wallpaper too looks like silk and is lovely. Our room, overlooking the main road was light, plainly decorated and reasonably soundproofed. There were no hooligans or overly loud vehicles outside. There was A/C if... More

Clean reasonably sized room, great staff and great location for Royal Albert Hall and museums. Local eateries proved to be good as well . Good value for this part of the capital, would recommend if you want to be in this location Bar prices reasonable and the food I saw being served seemed to be of good standard

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
