Very good location, next to Westminster Abbey, the houses of Parliament, big Ben and near St James metro station. Very nice restaurant at the same building. We left an item in the room and could come back to recover.

We were thrilled with our booking and pleased with the overall experience. We were thrilled to be upgraded to a superior room and enjoyed. The convenience of eating dinner and having breakfast at the hotel made our trip. We would definitely recommend and hopefully return one day.

Very much enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Sanctuary House. Although we had a street facing room and are used to total quiet at night, we were pleasantly surprised at the lack of 'city noise' and were able to get two good night's sleep. Room was well stocked (real milk in the fridge - none of those awful milk...

My wife and I stayed 3 nights. Everything was OK. Probably no nearest locations to Westminster Abbaye and so a very good ratio location/price. Nice service. We founded the room somewhat small but very comfortable with all the equipment required for our stay.

The Location vs price is what made me choose this hotel. It is walking distance from main attractions and the price was very reasonable compared to the competition. I booked through hotels.com. Room is small but comfortable and they had complimentary water and beer in the mini fridge which I wasn't expecting but was a pleasant surprise. I would definitely...

The Sanctuary Hotel is a great place to stay especially if it is your first time in London. It is close to Westminster Abby, Big Ben, and public transportation. The hotel has nice amenities. Fuller's is part of the hotel and is a good place to eat and drink.

I stayed there in April 2017. The hotel is well-situated if you want to be in the center of London. The rooms are a bit old-fashioned as the rest of the hotel but clean. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Gem of a place! Location fantastic and staff treated my mum and I like family. I honestly can't fault anything at all. The room had everything you need, was spotless and the staff were amazing! The food was great and the service and friendliness was faultless. I would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone!

The hotel is a great value, with well appointed rooms in a wonderful pub, just mere steps from all the sights in central London, or the underground to take you elsewhere. We would recommend a stay here to our friends and family, and look forward to the possibility of our next visit! Thanks for the hospitality!

Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
