Beautifully enhanced after a very sympathetic makeover, this family owned 105 year old hotel has left unchanged the most endearing aspect, the warmth of welcome from the staff. I've been a visitor for a decade, and have rarely found anything less than perfect, and in such rare cases the staff notice just as quickly, and quietly put things right.

Dear Ian D, Thank you so much for your great review about The Goring. It is absolutely wonderful to have the hotel completely restored and running as it should do. Our passion for service though has never dulled and it is very positive to hear that you feel that same way whenever you are here. We look forward to seeing... More

Just had Afternoon Tea yesterday at he newly beautifully refurbished Goring Hotel and had the most amazing experience. The food was delicious!! Tasty and freshly prepared sandwiches, warm scones and a colorful selection of pastries topped up by a prompt and attentive service from the waiters made us feel like Royalties. It was an incredible experience which I'd recommend to... More

We have been staying at The Goring for over 21 years and throughout this period the excellence of the experience has never wavered. From the moment you enter the hotel, an immediate feeling of 'coming home' prevails. Every incredible Staff member (too many to name individually) will ensure that your visit will be memorable. Enough words from me but I... More

Dear Tricia L, Thank you so much for your review about your experiences staying with us at The Goring over 21 glorious years! You will have seen many changes in that time with the such milestones as the whole hotel's refurbishment and with the transition from George Goring to Jeremy Goring at the helm. One thing is for sure though,... More

The Goring was shut briefly for renovation, recently. Always slightly disturbing to read 'renovation' for anyone who likes traditional decor with solid values and service, after so many high profile and historic hotels worldwide have surrendered to designer makeovers that cleansed their history and soul forever. Has yet another tasteful hotel fallen from our visiting list to the march of... More

The finest hotel in London. This really is a top class hotel. It's no wonder it is a favourite with the royal family and Kate Middleton chose to stay here the night before her wedding. Seven of us came in on a Sunday afternoon and enjoyed a wonderful high tea in a superbly surrounding. Staff was patient and helpful. It took us 3 minutes to get to the Tube and 10 minutes to walk to Buckingham Palace, so the location is unbeatable.

A great place to stay with bags of history of the British Royal Family. The restaurant is the best dining room I've seen in the country. The food is as expected very British. The Goring is a quintessential British hotel in the heart of London. Situated not too far from Victoria Station it is ideally located for the West End. Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
