Absolutely first class venue, service & afternoon tea. Went with our mums for afternoon tea, we had the Bollinger champagne afternoon tea and I could not fault anything. From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty, all employees were amazing and the service was smooth, unobtrusive and second to none. I am gluten intolerant and a full gluten...

This place deserves its top rating on TripAdvisor. So quintessentially English. Fantastic location next to the Palace. Amazing gardens out back. I visited with my family (two young daughters) and the staff was amazing. Everything was ready in the room (special kids toiletries, fun activity books). I highly recommend this hotel to any family looking for a traditional English experience...

This is our second visit to stay at The Goring Hotel. We loved every minute and only wish we could have stayed longer. We had 2 nights in a Delightful King Room. The room was beautiful, clean and spacious. Gorgeous bathroom. All facilities you need. During our stay we had breakfast (heavenly), light lunch in the conservatory, dinner in the...

Wow it's like going back to an era long forgotten. Greeted by the doorman, ushered in by the guest liaison and then welcomed to our "most splendid room" by lambie the little sheep. Touches that the English are fabulous at providing. Delicious English breakfast in a morning room. What can I say it just keeps going. Well located small boutique...

My family and I just returned from our stay at the Goring for 3 nights and couldn't be more pleased. The hotel is in a great location, right next to Buckingham Palace and within walking distance to many of London's best attractions. The hotel staff were phenomenal, especially Dane who we just loved. We didn't try the restaurant, but we...

I'm a regular visitor at The Goring for meals and sometimes just a drink. I've always found the staff to be hospitable, highly efficient and sophisticated. This particular review is a rather late write up on my experience this past February when I celebrated my birthday at the hotel. I booked two lovely (I'm told as didn't personally see them)...

Returned for a second wonderful short stay. If you want to feel special and pampered, look no further! From the moment you arrive, staff are attentive and friendly; nothing is too much trouble. Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
