We have been many times for lunch but post lockdown decided to stay. This was true 5 star Luxury both for the food, as amazing as ever, and the room and facilities. Go now - it’s quiet but faultless in every way.

If you are looking for 5 -star warm and friendly service in a Covid- safe environment then head to The Goring hotel. The beautiful garden will immediately lifts your spirits - thoughtful touches throughout and outstanding attention to detail. The staff are knowledgeable, articulate and very professional .It is immediately obvious that this is an independent family -owned and run business ; a breath of fresh air from the usual “cookie cutter” international chains. There is no stuffyness , but a sense that you are entering a private exclusive club which creates happy memories . The Goring is all about having a good time ! The menu currently on offer is short but well chosen with something to cater for all tastes . You will not be disappointed- The Goring has stood the test of time . Much loved by the Royal Family and experts in the hospitality industry . Thank you for another happy memory !

I have stayed at the Goring a few time’s but over the last year it is certainly not the place it was ,nice lobby and ground floor but the rooms for the price are very much overpriced .The staff where the reason for returning but I must say I hardly knew anyone on arrival .Nobody recognised me and it was very impersonal .Sad to see, Peter on the door was there on second day who is wonderful and a few on the concierge where very helpful .But I must say the management was very sparse and we felt it was badly run which we never felt before .Sad to see but it has been gradually declining over the last few years .For the price there are many great hotels in London .Lets hope they pull there socks up .

Dear Sailing2389, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at The Goring. We are disheartened to hear that your stay did not exceed expectations. We pride ourselves in guest recognition and services, and our staff are known to go the extra mile to treat our guest with kindness and friendliness. So I am disappointed that your stay lacked this experience. We do truly appreciate your feedback and now that we have recently reopened the hotel after 5- month Covid lockdown, we hope you choose to return to The Goring to give us another opportunity to impress you, and redeem ourselves. I would be delighted to meet you personally and welcome you back. With kind regards, Michael Voigt General Manager
