I'm lucky to have stayed in quite a few hotels accredited with 5 stars, some live up to it and some unfortunately do not !!! The Goring lives up to it in bucket loads. With 5 star hotels you can expect a superior level of care, attention and customer service but sometimes staff are so focused of making sure every...

From the minute you are greeted by the doorman to the minute you leave, the staff is the best I've ever encountered. The staff is very attentive but not smothering. They make you feel like part of their family. A great place to truly relax and unwind! High class and luxurious!!!

We went here for lunch in the bar / lounge as we were going to the garden party at the palace . We'd been recommended by friends and family but on the day we went(23rd May) we were very disappointed It certainly didn't live up to its 5 stars We had - chicken Caesar salad , salmon and beetroot sandwich...

I've written about The Goring before, and will continue to sing their praises. We have been staying here every year for about 15 years, for a total of 24 visits. The staff at The Goring staff is truly a family, and they treat everyone that walks through those wonderful doors as part of their family. This is what brings us...

It seems somewhat superfluous to review the Goring because everything about it is perfect - from the staff whose professionalism and friendliness knows no bounds to the accommodation itself which literally cannot be faulted. The comfort of the beds, the ambience of the bar and lounge, the availability of food and drink at whatever hour you may wish - all...

We stayed at the goring for one night. The hotel is very British and extraordinary. Just gorgeous. The hotel is nearby Victoria station and it is not far to Buckingham palace. The breakfast was small for the price, but very good. The rooms are so beautiful and the staff are friendly and helpful with with things such as cabs and...

We have stayed at The Goring many times and are never disappointed. The position is perfect, close to Buckingham Palace, St. James and Green Parks and Victoria Bus and Underground Stations. The suites are beautifully appointed, the wallpaper in the entrance area is intriguing with many symbols relating to the Goring family and if you are given the opportunity you...

Seriously, no complaints whatsoever. It was incredible from the room to the food to the lobby to the service. I wish I could live there. Princess Kate stayed there the night before her wedding and the Queen has been there so if that isn't enough of a fabulous review I don't know what is. Great location, close to Buckingham Palace...

The hotel is very near Buckingham Palace, but a ten minute walk from the Mayfair shops. It is luxurious but not grandiose. Reception, like everything else, is friendly, quick and efficient. Food is Michelin starred and the breakfast is English and excellent. The bar area gets very busy, but the staff are plentiful and expert at finding space for guests....

Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
