What a wonderful London hotel - excellent value for money. The welcome was warm and smiley - the room whilst small was perfect, with a large and comfortable bed and good pillows and a/c. The bathroom was well appointed with a good shower and fluffy towels. The TV was a good size and had a range of stations. There is... More

Well, I read various reviews before booking which were negative specially in regards to multiple buildings, small rooms, wifi and noise. I think non were true in terms of comfort. I arrived hours before check-in and explained my situation and got a very early check in with an upgrade. Staff were more than excellent in service. Room was extremely spacious... More

We stayed in 2 rooms (junior suite and queen) at the newly opened 87 Gloucester Place during a family trip to London. It was a fabulous experience. The hotel has been very recently refurbished to an incredibly high standard, with expensive fittings and very comfortable beds. But what really excelled was the superb staff and service. The new concept is... More

Originally I had been put off Z Hotels based on the reports of small rooms with no windows. Who wants that...? This Z hotel however is just perfect for what I need. Upon arrival at reception we were greeted with smiles and handshakes from very friendly staff. The interior of the building is very bright and light. Check-in took very... More

Had a great stay at the Z at Gloucester place. Our room was compact but bright and really clean. The bed was a generous size. The staff can't do enough for you. We didn't avail of the free cheese and wine every evening but what a great idea. The hotel is also in a great location with everything you could... More

This is a brand-new nicely furnished hotel in a good-looking residence. A bed and breakfast with just that something special... It is well situated in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood within 5 minutes walk from underground stations like Baker street and Marble Arch. Near to Hide Park, Madame Tussauds, Sherlock Holmes museum, London Zoo, Oxford street... We stayed for two... More

My husband and I had a lovely stay here overnight with 2 friends and our 1 year old following attending a concert in Hyde park. We were upgraded from the z hotel at 23 Gloucester place to the z club at 87. The z club has a lovely communal seating area and small courtyard garden where breakfast is served and... More

Extrordinary clean hotel. Very helpful and welcoming staff. Modern technology flatscreen tv. Excellent beds. The cheese and wine event in the evenings makes this place unforgettable. The 'table commune' idea is great to get to know other guests and creates an open sphere. Located only 2 minutes away from Oxford Street.

The hotel is definitely trying to offer something different. The location is great if you want to be close to Oxford Street/Baker Street. The Queen rooms are small but the modern, fresh interiors make up for it. On the downside, breakfast was very poor with no explanation of what was on offer. I would not recommend breakfast and suggest you... More

Location is excellent, near to Baker Street Tube. My room on the top floor was a good size - bigger than at the Soho, Piccadilly and Victoria Z Hotels. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Prices are extremely reasonable at the moment compared to the other Z Hotels. All in all, couldn't really fault it.

Staying in Marylebone

Neighborhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighborhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
