The hotel is lovely place but Albena and Elena have made my time here so injoy able. Albena especially has gone out of her way to make me feel welcome and I have seen the way she speaks to all the guess with the same kindness. If you are lucky enough to be served by Albena you will have a great night. 😊
From the spa to the bedrooms to the ‘room service’ this place is filthy, overpriced and needs done serious staff review. I did not enjoy my stay and would not review it. At all. So expensive stay somewhere else
What an amazing place to stay. we were on floor 7 which has been renovated and is beautifully decorated (i understand floor 8 has also been done, and the rest of the hotel is being done between now and may 2020). the room was only 3 weeks old. location in holborn is ideal, short walk to anywhere like covent garden or the tube which is 2 minutes away. quiet rooms beautifully presented with modern features, modern bathroom, everything you need for a perfect stay. we did not eat at this hotel other than breakfast which was a usual buffet self service, and all was good. we would be more than happy to stay here again and again. lovely staff members who are happy and smiling and polite. just perfect.
Although on a busy road it’s only a few minutes walk to Bloomsbury, with its bookshops, cafes and interesting buildings. Numerous places for breakfast as the hotel breakfast didn’t seem good value. Soho nearby as well, so ideal for the jazz festival.
I requested to stay in a standard room at the London Holborn jurys inn but there was a slight complication and as a kind gesture the hotel decided to allocate me one of the new NYX boutique hotel rooms as an apology for my troubles. Every step of the way there were little personal touches put in place to make sure my stay was as special as they could possibly make it and I felt sooo spoilt! They bent over backwards for me and I've stayed at a lot of hotels in my time but never had this kind of treatment! No request was too much, every member of staff I came into contact with was super upbeat, polite and charming - I was in a pretty bad headspace before arriving due to personal issues but upon settling in all these negative feelings completely melted away! I honestly cannot commend the staff and management team enough! In terms of the NYX room, it was absolutely stunning and everything about it felt premium. The decor was obviously something that has had a lot of time spent on it - there, was lots of artwork, themed walls, beautifully tiled bathroom, under bed and sink lighting, even the coffee mugs and spoons fit into the aesthetic. Other touches included a combination of both firm and suuuuper soft cosy pillows, the sheets were great quality, soft, breathable cotton, the bed was king size and super cosy, the soap smells soooo good like flowers, the shower was really fancy and even had a three settings on the nozzle - one of which I think is a massage setting? Either way it worked wonders on the muscle tension in my back! All topped off with a nespresso machine which was put to very good use. I was trying to think of some negatives to balance out the review but I am honestly struggling to think of things, but if I had to be SUPER picky I did find it a bit chilly but when I mentioned this to the hotel staff they promptly came to check the heating, reassured me that it was infact working just slowly but then immediately brought me a portable heater which solved my problem completely. Five stars for this hotel, the best stay I've ever had and will remember this for a long time!…
