Visited Tavistock Hotel recently and found it to be a very calm place in the bustling big city. After a day visiting the sights and sounds of London it was a relief to return to the Hotel. The staff are very attentive and polite, nothing is too much trouble for them. It is situated opposite Tavistock Square a beautiful tranquil... More

Very nice hotel in a superb location. From the time we walked in we were greeted with very polite staff who couldn't do do enough for us. We took two teenage boys and the rooms were more than spacious for us. They offered free WIFI and when there was a problem with my son not being able to connect there... More

My girlfriends & I always stay here when we visit London. It's 10 minutes walk from Kings Cross & 5 minutes walk to Russell Square tube & the Brunswick Centre which has a good selection of chain restaurants and shops. We usually get a free meal at the hotel's Bistro too, not spectacular but a good choice and nice staff.... More

My third visit in this hotel. When you book make it directly through their web-page so you can get the English breakfast included and if you stay more than one night you can get free three course meal. The price is a bit high compared to the value, but that is normal in London. Rooms are tidy but worn. The... More

So all went well. Checked into this place on a last minute booking and paid my £119 (approx €144). The machine went a bit crazy and appeared to reset itself but the transaction was completed by the banks so no problem. Next morning there became a problem in the photo attached. I was asked for my card and despite being... More

This hotel is part of the Imperial Hotels London. Each one is different but all offer excellent value. we have stayed at 2 other hotels in the group, but choose the Tavistock as it offered rooms to accommodated 4 (we were with 2 young grandchild so what one room). Our room was a good size and had a double and... More

I stayed here for 2 nights and I loved it. Good location, clean room, calm (my windows were directed to the inner part of the hotel), pleasant staff, a kettle and tea/coffee in the room, and there was a European socket in the bathroom so I could charge the phone. The breakfast was poor (continental) but you can have normal... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
