second time staying at this hotel. Previous occasion was with 2 teenagers & the family room we had was huge - a corner room with 2 windows and a view looking out onto the London eye. This time just a double room, smaller but same level of comfort. I stay at Premier Inns for work up to 6 times per... More

This is in the lovely old County Hall 2 minutes walk from the London Eye and Waterloo, but clearly a Premier Inn inside. It is clean and great for families, which we were. The children enjoyed the breakfast and check in and out worked perfectly. We were allowed early access to our room which made a great difference as we... More

True, there is no air conditioning but the windows open and our room had a fan on the desk. However, even in September on a rainy day, this did not cool the room sufficiently - causing us to have a poor night's sleep both nights. The rooms and beds are very small by North American standards but the bed linens... More

Over the last year I have stayed at a few Premier Inn. The room was larger than I expected for a twin. Both beds were doubles. I chose to drive to the hotel as Southern Rail has been unreliable, the hotel recommends a VIP valet service. The service cost £35 for 24hrs, I arranged the pickup from the outside of... More

The hotel is situated perfectly, very close to everything. Several restaurants across the street and Waterloo station is a 5 min walk away. The price per night is quite reasonable, and that is why I chose to stay here. I liked the safe feel of the place. Traveling alone is not always fun, but this hotel has thought through the... More

Stayed here for 2 nights with family - we booked the hotel a few months ago and got really good deal. The hotel is in a great location close to the London Eye and a plethora of restaurants and cafes - its also 10 minutes walk to both Westminster and the Embankment tube stations making it a great base for... Great location, close to Waterloo station and around the corner from the London Eye and a couple of other attractions. Prices were cheap for London but don't expect many luxuries in your room! Only had a kettle and some tea/coffee available. Can't comment on the restaurant as it wasn't something that we used during our stay. To summarise, you can't... More

My daughter and I have just returned from staying in the County Halls Premier Inn in Belvedere Road, London. The location is excellent, being on Southbank next to the London Eye. However, this hotel still has no air conditioning! It was impossible to get sufficient sleep, as the hotel was like an oven. They could only provide us with fans.... More

For what is sold as a low cost hotel option, £175 per night (inc breakfast) is not cheap at least not cheap anywhere outside London. That said for what is in the centre of the city - close to the London Eye, it is competitively priced against other chains in the area. Accommodation is good, reasonably sized rooms, very clean.... Staying in Southbank

Neighborhood Profile
Southbank
Big time attractions such as the London Eye and a thriving theatre scene (compliments of the National Theatre and the Young Vic) are but a few of the reasons that Southbank is such a collectively cherished part of town. With plenty of family friendly activities and venues lined up along a pedestrianized river bank between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo Bridge, visitors can always expect a casual and festive atmosphere. On top of all the fun stuff to do at Southbank is the opportunity to simply sit back and admire photo-op views of iconic landmarks like Parliament and St Paul's Cathedral, just on across the Thames.
