Two issues came up during my stay that the Eccleston Square Hotel. The first night my room had no heat and it was not fixed until the following day. The hotel dismissed this as no big deal. The second issue was with the laundry I sent out for wash which came back literally wet, with many pieces soaked through with dry cleaning fluid. Again the hotel manager dismissed my complaints and nothing was done to rectify the situation. Beyond that the limited food/coffee served is not up to par and the rooms while lovely have inadequate bathroom lighting for putting on make-up and hair drying has to be done in the hallway with an extension cord rather than in the bath. Lastly, I found the main floor fragrance overpowering. For these reasons I would not recommend a stay at this hotel.

We booked a couple of King Rooms for our friends and us for my 60th Birthday, we had a restaurant reservation at Scalini in Walton Street and chose this hotel due to it's close proximity, basically a short cab journey away and a 5 minute walk to Elizabeth Street, which hosts a number of independent shops, bars and restaurants. The rooms are quite compact but chic, everything has been well thought out to make the most of the space. The bed is electronically operated so you can put your feet up, raise the back of the bed and also have a massage if you desire and the curtains are also electronic. The shower room is lovely and has a TV built into the tiles, good water pressure and quality fittings. As soon as you enter, the Staff welcome is very warm and the reception area smells amazing! It was also a trip down memory lane for me as I was born and bred in this area, so it made our stay extra special!

I had booked a room for several nights for a course that was taking place at the hotel. Unfortunately the course was cancelled on short notice- two weeks before it was due to take place. Contacted the booking company and the hotel directly but the hotel were completely unwilling to be understanding- declining to give me a refund or even a credit with the hotel to stay at a different time. Extremely unhelpful hotel.

Our double room was ridiculously small and had a huge plumbing problem. At six thirty am we were woken by what I though was that my husband had left water running in our en suite and the bathroom was flooding. The running water noise was from other bathrooms as their morning showers appeared to filter through our room and this went on for two hours. Sort it! Unacceptable a these prices and if the hotel knew this to be a problem why place us in this room if they knew it to be a problem, they hotel at the time was only a quarter full. We loved the location but the staff have no idea and the breakfast was disappointing at £18 pp, I can only describe this as aeroplane food
