I was super excited to arrive at the hotel as I booked a terrace suite. I received a couple of emails telling me about contact less check in. So I checked in online and on arrival just after 15:00 the room key on the Hilton app was still not ready. Just a message saying preparing room. I checked with reception and they confirmed room was still being cleaned and I had to go through the check in process again at reception and sign forms - what the point of doing it online? The key on the app wasn’t available all weekend. When I got to the room it was an absolute let down. It was grotty and the bathroom is in desperate need of an upgrade. There was also no barrier between the terrace suite I was in and next door. Bed was comfy though but all in all a let down.
Went for a weekend family break. Nice hotel, chose a connecting room for my daughters. Very big rooms, ample space and the bonus of 2 bathrooms. Nice and clean in both rooms. Location was fantastic, 2 mins from tube station and lots of shops, takeaways and restaurants nearby. Added bonus was a mosque 5mins walk away. Staff were nice, helpful and friendly. Only disadvantage was the rooms were on the Paddington Station entrance side so there was alot of noise from the station announcer and the trains. Also there is big construction site right next to the hotel so there was alot of noise from there too. Overall a good hotel with nice facilities and great location. Reasonably priced aswell. Would recommend if you have young children.
Checked in early evening having checked out of Hilton London Metropol. Duty Manager Anna was so embarrassed for the Hilton Brand on hearing why we had moved that she personally reminded us why we only ever stay at a Hilton. To say she went above & beyond us an understatement. Our allocated room blew our mind away, wow, wow, Wow-Factor. Unfortunately I couldn’t sample the free breakfast as I was in London for an operation & had to be nil by mouth from midnight. Anna on hearing my wife couldn’t accompany me & had to wait until I was discharged later in the day gave us a late checkout, it didn’t stop there....... My wife popped out for a cigarette whilst waiting only to find her room key wouldn’t work, turned out to be an intermittent fault that maintenance couldn’t fix for an extended period of time so Anna made sure my wife had everything she needed to make her comfortable in the meantime. As a business owner, I know the importance of customer service, this blew me away and certainly raised the bar! Thank You So Much Anna (AKA) The New Hilton Brand Ambassador, we will be back! My stitches need removing in two weeks so we will be staying again! See you soon we hope, you truly are a diamond Kind Regards Graeme & Sara Smith…
Great location. Essentially part of London Paddington station with immediate access to the Tune ( London Underground) our day trips included usual stuff, for example Tower of London, a short tube ride and British Museum we walked. The hotel staff were fantastic. Moses behind the bar went the extra mile finding the Lillet hidden in the stock room. ( thanks returning san's Lillet was not an option). Thanks to the team for a lovely and safe stay.
Very very very tired. Not clean. Must services are not available. Plumbing is poor, ceilings are damaged, wash basin was dirty and disgusting. The beds are comfortable...on the upside! I feel sorry for the staff but this hotel damages the Hilton brand
