We stayed here with another couple. Their room had a pleasant view of the courtyard, nice breeze from the window, and you could walk all the way around the bed. For the same price, our room was on the noisy street side, no breeze (stuffy!), and so tiny that someone had to be sitting on the bed at all times...

Finding somewhere in central London to stay is difficult enough. Following up on a newspaper recommendation, we booked at the Arosfa and were not at all disappointed. A very warm welcome, a very comfortable room and a good breakfast made our two night stay in London very easy. Whilst the en-suite was a little smaller than usual, we managed easily...

We've read the reviews and had tried to book here before without success. Arosfa is just as described - very handy for shops, transport, visiting university friends and exploring London, without breaking the bank. Three family members stayed here for a night. Yes, the rooms are compact and the shower pods might not suit anyone who is above average height/weight...

Very nice hotel with a cozy salon where you can use internet if you are not bringing your own laptop. Very friendly and helpful staff. Small single room but ok considering London average. Very clean and quiet. Good breakfast.

For about 100GBP a night in Central London, it’s a pretty good deal. Yes the room is small, the bathroom is about the size of an airplane toilet but it’s clean, it’s comfortable, quiet, the service is extremely good and the breakfast is really quite reasonable. We arrived at about 8:30am from Heathrow and although the room was not ready...

There was much to recommend this establishment: Well located for transportation throughout London and to/from elsewhere from King's Cross/St. Pancras station; very friendly & helpful staff; substantial breakfast included; free WiFi with decent signal; reasonable rates (for London). Be advised that some single rooms are tiny, though; an average-sized person can almost touch both side walls at once. My room's...

This is a small and friendly hotel in the centre of London. It is convenient for shopping, theatre and museums and galleries. Run by a couple who really take a personal interest in your stay, it's a pleasure to be there.

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Arosfa Hotel is a refurbished 200-year old Georgian Town House in the heart of historic Bloomsbury district, the former home of the famous Pre-Raphaelite artist Sir John Everett Millais. The cool white garden squares and wide streets of Bloomsbury have been a pull to thinkers for centuries, and it sometimes seems like every second house has a blue plaque denoting that a great writer, scientist or philosopher once inhabited the building. It was in Bloomsbury that Karl Marx created communism, Virginia Woolf defined the twentieth century British novel, and Charles Darwin first conceived the theory of natural selection. The imposing bulk of the British Museum, home to seven millennia of human art and artefacts, dominates the area, and there are plenty of other academic institutions including Birkbeck College, the beautiful University of London Library, and RADA, London's grandest drama school. ... more   less
