Decent Hotel, very close to DLR. Breakfast was ok, had a burger at the Bar in the evening that was ok. No ITV service on TV, I called reception to see if anything could be done and was told no as it wasn’t’t a Smart TV?!?! Heating panel was missing so couldn’t adjust the he room temperature, Room 513, unlucky for some! Comfortable bed.
I can not fault this hotel at all. The service was 1st class, our room was wonderful and as for the bed. The best night sleep I have had in a long time. And to top the weekend our spa treatment, that I didn’t want to end.
Francine gave the most lovely relaxing aromatherapy massage. One of the best I have ever had! Everyone at the Spa were lovely and my only complaint would be that it got a little crowded (and a bit noisy) around the pool at one point. However this wasn't for long and in all it was a lovely afternoon.
Had an excellent stay. The rooms are clean, spacious and very close to tower bridge and the Tower of London. The breakfast package was well worth it - excellent food, quality and service. Would absolutely stay again.
Everything was just perfect! The room was very clean and tidy. The breakfast was delicious. My children had fun at the swimming pool and the little playground behind the restaurant. My husband and I enjoyed very much the spa treatment. I would like to say thank you to Shahahan who offered us an excellent service in the restaurant, a special thanks to Roana who work as customer service manager I believe. She did help me a lot. She worked so efficiently and solved my problem at once. Much appreciated and we would definitely come back again!
This hotel is promoted as a luxury hotel but have rarely experienced such a level of discomfort in any hotel anywhere. The location is very central just around the corner from Fenchurch Street station and Tower Hill tube station. The entrance & check-in areas are very modern and spacious. There were many problems with the room, but by far the worst was when it became vastly overheated and sauna-like conditions developed on the 2nd night, to the point of weakness and nausea. Moving onto the corridor didn’t help it was also far too hot. A bigger room was provided at the other end of the corridor where the heating was still too high but a window could be opened at least. Among the problems with the first room were that the shower requires one to negotiate a very high bathtub, over 20 inches at least. Even the local TV channels, BBC1 and 2, C4 didn’t work and the conversation of some very noisy talkative guests in the adjacent room could be heard all during the night through the paper-thin walls. The breakfast buffet was worth of 3-4 stars but service in the restaurant was almost non-existent, despite 2 servers being present, to the point of having to order at the bar. The hotel markets itself as “one of the most energy-efficient hotels to open in recent years” – quite the opposite was the case during a most uncomfortable stay in September 2022.…
Me and my fiancée were staying in London this weekend whilst visiting winter wonderland. We have stayed in this area before as it is convenient for travelling around London and has great amenities on the doorstep. We decided to stay at the leonardo royal hotel this time and can not fault the hotel at all. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and we would like to give a special thanks to Anneike who checked us in on the evening she was extremely friendly and polite and even offered us a complimentary upgrade for which we are very thankful. Our room was faultless and met all our expectations and more, everything was spotless and decorated in a beautiful manner. We would not hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend to anyone staying in London.
Weekend with friends and the large room with two huge Queen size meant we could all stay in same room. Tea/coffee provided and good range of toiletries. Also provided dressing gowns and slippers (one short but quickly brought up when reception notified. Good quality linen and the rooms were very quiet. location is just behind Fenchurch St, close to Liverpool St too. Tower etc a 5 minute walk. There are good restaurants close by and a Wetherspoons just opposite. We went there for breakfast as such good value and SO close. There are other hotels on the doorstep of this but this adds a little extra luxury for those who like that in a hotel.
Great facilities and beautiful place. Elijah at the front desk was very helpful. Special thanks to Abdul at the restaurant, very kind and helpful, made us feel welcome. Clean room, great staff. Would definitely return
Great overnight stay, the duty manager Amo made the night so much better and couldn’t of been any more helpful, answered any questions we had, along with the receptionist Kirvil who was also incredibly helpful. Would definitely go again!
