Staff, service and food was amazing. Wanted to mention Sadie who helped when booking the afternoon tea, helped with directions and even helped on the day. Also the boat across from Canary Wharf was brilliant and so quick and was free if you had a reservation at the hotel.

We have just returned from our weekend in London for my husbands birthday and honestly we couldn’t fault the DoubleTree by Hilton! We arrived in London much earlier than check in and popped in just to ask what time we could check in and what was the best way into the city. Check in was meant to be at 3pm but they let us check in then and there at 10am, had a lovely clean room on the 6th floor with a nice view of the water and the runway from the airport next door (couldn’t hear a single rumble as the planes took off). We got settled and then spent the rest of the day in London, arriving back at the hotel about an hour and a half before our dinner reservation. The food was lovely, we had the slow cook beef mac and cheese and the half chicken with fries and lemon salad, and the toffee and lemon sundaes for dessert, the food was brought to the table in very good time, all cooked very well and nice and hot. Very good nights sleep, the curtains are possibly the best black out curtains I’ve ever seen, when I woke I was sure it must still be the middle of the night as it was so dark but it was 7am! Bed was perfectly comfortable and the pillows were fine (my husband did think they were too small). Breakfast was fine, I was slightly put off the bacon and the eggs were too runny for my liking, however I am pregnant so much fussier than I normally am! All the food was hot and tasted fine, and again service was very good, we had drinks within a minute of sitting for both meals! Check out wasn’t until 12.30 which is perfect, although we checked out earlier as we had plans, but it didn’t feel rushed at all and we left very happy! Overall can’t fault the staff or the hotel, will definitely stay again!

Decided to use some points & book this Hilton, was not sure what to expect especially due to COVID but happy to say that the hygiene standards were fantastic. We were also upgraded to a larger room with a river view which was a lovely touch. Unfortunate experience in the restaurant - spent around 4.5 hours of our evening having incorrect or cold meals given to us. Our celebratory evening was wasted, with simple things that could have been avoided very easily, the inexperience of the wait staff really reflected here they were not communicating between themselves & in doing so lost the bar and restaurant profit. It was not just us but you could see other couples also having similar issues. However the experience was salvaged by the Duty Manager; Roxana Chiurtu. She was so helpful, friendly & professional. She swiftly offered solutions & made us feel more at ease. I appreciated her follow up email to assure that these things were being looked into. I always say it is the staff that actually make the hotel what it is so thanks to Roxana I would go back to stay here. If I had not had this interaction I would most likely have reverted to Hilton at South Quay (one of my faves!) Thank you Roxana & the reception staff at Doubletree!!

Very overpriced, compared to a similar brand (Marriott) and very basic. cheap tea, coffee etc In the room. Tv didn’t work as the Ariel was broken, no biscuits in the room. Small room even though it had a balcony, no food menu with in the room even if they was disposable menus. Staff are very friendly and polite. Was not impressed overall actually found a premier inn to be more satisfying. It was clean and tidy but to be expected from any hotel.
