Great location but noisy room as floor/ceiling needs better soundproofing. Lift to second floor, not first, which means steps with suitcase. Bathroom very small; clean with no electrical socket. USB port didn't work. Helpful, pleasant staff.

Stayed for two nights for a quick weekend break to go around the museums. Hotel is close to Natural History museum and Science museum. Unfortunately we have a rather terrible nights sleep, the bathroom fan did not turn of and was humming throughout the room. It was then joined by another humming sound later in the early hours. We managed... More

My partner and I recently stayed at this fabulous hotel to celebrate her birthday. During our stay my partner became unwell and had to be taken by ambulance to hospital on the day we were due to check out. Throughout this ordeal the staff were truly outstanding, with each and every representative of the hotel we encountered showing great empathy... More

Awesome stay. Highly recommended. Staff were brilliant. The breakfast was very reasonable and plentiful..... Nearest tube station is about a 5 minute walk away. Plenty of restaurants and bars nearby..

The first impression when we arrived the hotel was fantastic, since this is our honeymoon trip, they had a card with small dessert and champagne/ fruits prepared in our room, their receptionist are super nice and sweet; however, their staffs serving in the dining area for breakfast didn't treat us the same way, they seemed to be distant because we... Stayed here due to proximity of the royal albert hall and that's the only reason. Room size was average for a silver Hilton honours member. But don't take room 124 as right outside is a huge fan vent and the room above has a real squeaky floor . Why oh why does double tree insist on using Nescafé brand coffee... More

Stayed here for five nights recently for business travel in this hotel, which was converted to a Hilton brand less than one year ago. Booked it mainly due to price & convenient location (close to two tube stops- South Kensington & Gloucester Road). Overall impression is bad, only saving grace is service attitude among the food & beverage managers (Gerald... More

Lovely hotel, friendly staff, modern and clean rooms (a bit small but that is fine). Location in South Kensington is superb, the best place in town. If the room faces the street that it can be a bit noisy during night and early morning from cars, so I would recommend to bring ear plugs. Other than that – great place.

We stayed here for a weekend city break. The location is wonderful, near lots of shops and restaurants and very near Hyde park and the museums. We didn't use the tube once all weekend! We stayed in the King Family room. The bed was super comfy, the room was clean and big enough for our toddler to wander around in.... More

I'm a frequent visitor to London for both work send pleasure. This week my usual hotel was fully booked so I ended up booking this place as it was available at a pretty good rate. The location is good if you're visiting on holiday as the museums, Hyde Park and the Albert Hall are all just a short walk away... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
