A truly lovely hotel that provided us with a much needed taste of sweetness in these austere times. Our room was comfortable, the staff were friendly, the decor was delightful and the trip was delightful (although that can’t really be credited to a hotel). In short, I would definitely recommend the Rathbone, it’s reasonably priced for as nice as it is and it’s close to a number of charming pubs and restaurants and only a five minute walk from Soho and also quite close to Bloomsbury.

My wife and I visited this hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we left very happy and looking forward to a return visit. The hotel is ideally located for our trip, with a local spa and Michelin starred restaurant we had booked both within 1 minute walk. The staff, from the moment we booked, have been super helpful, especially as we had to move our booking twice. On arriving at the hotel, we were made to feel extremely welcome and the staff just couldn't do enough for us. They offered to upgrade our room to a suite, which was generous but we decided to take what we originally booked due to the better amenities in that room. We were also presented with a bottle of prosecco and some chocolates, which was a nice touch. Everything was perfect and the staff all went out of their way to ensure we were satisfied, with a special shout out to David, the duty manager, who recommended a great cafe for lunch and was extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel has Covid-19 secure accreditation, which made us feel safe and I really hope that encourages others to stay here, as they would be missing out on a real gem.

We stayed for just one night, as we were eating at a nearby restaurant. The hotel is ideally situated for central London. A real positive were the friendly staff who made us feel very welcome and addressed us by name throughout our stay. The reception area and bar area are a smart art deco style. We chose the smallest room size and it was perfectly adequate for an overnight stay. The room was well provisioned with hot drinks and biscuits. The air condition/ heating worked well. The bathroom too was fine. Due to COVID the hotel was quiet but the staff still made every effort. We brought our dinner guests back to the hotel to drink in the bar with us and the staff made us most welcome. Due to COVID there is no breakfast available, but there are complementary hot drinks and pastries to go. Sanitisers throughout the hotel and a seal on the bedroom door and a compliance cleaning certificate made me feel safe staying here. Very good value for money.

Dear TaniaF23, Thank you for your excellent review following your recent stay at The Rathbone Hotel. We have a fantastic team who really do go above and beyond providing intuitive service to our guests and always going that extra mile and I am delighted that you got to experience this first-hand. We made good use of the time during lockdown and decorated the lobby amongst other areas of the hotel, and we have been over the moon with the great feedback. I was glad that the additional Covid19 safety measures that we have implemented made you feel safe as the wellbeing of our guests and team members is our number one priority. We look forward to welcoming you back in the not too distant future. Kind Regards Tracy Snooks Hotel Manager

Went there after a meal, for a couple of drinks Have to say when you go to a London hotel a lot of staff are quite arrogant but these guys David and Kabir were nothing but lovely. Nothing was too much for David even with our last minute requests They adhered to all the social distancing requests so felt very safe and relaxed during our time there The hotel Lobby is beautiful really nicely presented They maintained the 10pm Close down, but weren’t like other places where they hovered around looking at you and whispering to colleagues They came to us 30 min before 10pm to advise us of the time and how they needed to close up at 10pm It was nicely and Polite and very well done not at all obtrusive and rude Drinks costs - no more expensive than other bars in London but if your looking for space and civilised drinks rather than the brash loud and The drunk This is the place to go ..........
