It's not a five stars hotel at all. Does not fit with 5 stars standards and room are very very small. You cannot even walk freely. Does not worth the paid value and it is my worst stay in London ever. I don't recommend it to anybody given my bad experience.
Stayed here for being so central but were impressed by the gracious hospitality..The hot breakfast is top notch too. Special thanks to Ogerta, Deyan, Maxim and Sourab! They and the others make a great team and make you feel completely at home. We will be back soon !
Room was dirty. Bed had not been changed and had obvious signs of the previous occupant! Grim all round. Last thing one wants is to have to call to have one’s best changed after a long day of business travel.
We have booked to stay here for 2 nights with 6 people in total and 3 different rooms. We checked in to be informed that 3 of our rooms were flooded as the house keeper had found it in that state. We weren’t informed with a phone cal or anything, we only found out from checking in that we could not stay at the hotel as no other rooms were available. I have never been to a hotel to be treated in that particular way. To be expected to transfer with a possibility that we might not have a room available anywhere else due to the weekend being busy is shocking as this hotel is suppose to be very accommodating and a 5*. Upset that this have happened.
Absolutely shocking service! We booked 3 rooms & arrived to be told we had to be transferred to a different hotel in Southwick Street which is a long way from where we had booked due to a leak in 2 of the rooms! Apparently the receptionist says this happens a lot & although they have a sister hotel opposite with availability they cannot move us there as it was a wowcher booking! Avoid at all costs!
Complete Rip off, 0 customer service. I booked the Marble Arch suites they moved me to the Marble Arch. The room was extremely small. The floor was stinking. The housekeeping was not good, the upkeep of the room was bad. The only thing good was its location but absolutely not worth the amount I paid.
Absolut joke and worst ever experience… The room was in the basement, curtains could not be closed fully and the view was into the court yard people dispose their trash. Size of the room was a shoe box
2 nights cost us £592 as they stung us £172 to change dates from Jul to Aug due to husband’s heart attack. The only good thing is the location. Reservations are totally incompetent, good luck getting any answer or confirmation from them. The room was like sleeping in a tiny dark and dinghy cupboard with a tiny shower room and zero soundproofing… so gutted as this ruined our trip. We will never stay again!
We booked this london 5 star stay through woucher & it looked a fantastic deal! Howevee the reality was something quite different! The advert on woucher showed large sumptious reception & dinning areas & a spa area & pool. When we arrived it became obvious that the hotel woucher advertised in its photos was the 5 star montcalm at marble arch across the road not ghe one we were put into. We were given a large room in the basement which contained two double beds. You could smell damp & mildue from outside the room & the carpets were damp from the shower that flooded ghe bathroom when used. There were tiles missing of the shower & filth & scum evsrywhere in the bathroom. THunit around the sink was de laminating & filthy & shower screen had not been cleaned. The rest of the room was also filthy & light fittings hanhing out of the skirting boards. I complained to the manager & was shown 3 further rooms of equally poor standards in both upkeep & cleanliness. I obviously rejected them & asked to be put into the hotel over thebroad as per the advertising photos that drew us into booking with woucher. Aftwr a lengthy phone call i was told i could transfer to the montcalm across the road but it would cost another 267 pounds...obviously i refused to pay as that is where i belived i would be staying from photos on woucher when booking! I asked ihowvthis could be a 5 star hotel in the state it was & was told it was 5 star accommodation only & if i paid the 267 poundds to move ovwr the road it would be a clean room! I stated that i wouldnt pay that as i should be there anyway. The manager told us that was a better ckass of hotel & had higher standards.. hence the extra 267 pounds.....I reminded him that 5 star should be 5 star & any star should be clean! Eventually he came to look at the room & agreed it was very poor standard & stated that he himself would not stop in that room either. He went on to say that there was nothing he could do as we had booked through woucher & he couldnt refund the money. We would have to complain to woucher when we left & he would arrange a refund with them for us!. When asked to put that in writing he refused....However the following evening when we arrived back we were moved to a room on a higher floor that was just about accecptably clean....However it was very worn & tired & certainly not 5 star or the hotel that was shown in the advertising photos on woucher! Upon our return we complained to woucher who after a couple of days asked us to contact ghe marble arch to complain! I refused & pointed out that they had missrepresented the hotel they had sold to us & it was for them to resolve. Woucher then mailed montcalm and told me i would have to wait 3 days fir a response!... I then reminded them about the mis selling of yhe hotel by them. As expected no response in 3 days from Montcalm.....I responded to woucher telling them that id waited 3 days & still no response. Woucher responded asking me to wait a further day for the hotel to respond!..... I told them it was a joke & i wanted them to resolve the matter & as yet no response from woucher! All i can say is please avoid both booking with woucher & staying at the 5 star marble arch as it is not 5 star & absolutely filthy!..... all cups & teapots broken & cracked as well. Wouchers & montcalms customer service are non existant. I shall be passing this on to both Trading Standards & watchdog to expose both Woucher & the Marble Arch 5 star hotel as i feel i have been a victim of fraud/mis selling of a product!…
Great location, great area and extremely helpful staff, walkers will enjoy this hotel as you are next to Hyde park and Oxford street and Edgeware road, Breakfast was pleasant , Mr. Deyan and Ms. Griselda at reception were very helpful I'll be back!
