We stayed here over the weekend and was very pleased with the hotel. It was clean, well presented and great value for money. The breakfast was excellent and had a brilliant choice-Cereal, full english, toast, croissants etc. The bedroom was a good size and again very clean. Only annoying thing was the toilet being in a seperate room to the... More

We enjoyed three nights as a family of four here in August. Comfortable, modern room which was a good size for London. Close by the tube which was very useful. Reasonable check out tme which made the final day a better experience for us rather than having to hang around in the mainline train station. I particularly want to mention... More

I had a non-refundable reservation with this hotel through my travel agency - Expedia. There was a hurricane Irene in Eastern US that delayed all travel. I couldn't make it across Atlantic for the whole duration of the trip. So, I asked the travel agent to cancel and refund. Quite a few agents and hotels will refund for "forces of... More

Dear Sir, I was terribly disappointed to read your comments on Tripadvisor regarding the delay in processing your refund. Unfortunately this was not as a result of the hotels efforts, but due to a lack of effort from Expedia to respond to our request as we in truth requested the confirmation from them the very first day you contacted the... 10mins walk from nearest tube station (London Bridge station). For £242 for 2 adults and 2 children in London for 2 nights during the main summer holidays, I think this is very reasonable! In the room there was a Queen bed (which was very comfy) and a sofa bed for the children which was big enough for a 7 and... More

We loved the upgraded room which we were given and the location is ideal for the tourist sites. The downside was the 30 minute wait for breakfast. This was not due to a lack of tables as many were empty but due to a lack of staff to clear them. The hotel had notices up to say that they were... More

Breakfast is wonderful...eggs,sausages,cereals,fruit,pain du chocolat,cheese,etc...it does get crowded but never waited more than 10 minutes at the most for 4 people. Stayed here on business and the rate was over £300 per night with breakfast extra. Rooms well furnished but starting to look tired. Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
