We returned here for a 5 night visit in our recent London trip. It was just as good as the last time! The hotel was full, and although they weren’t able to give us a platinum upgrade, they did give us a pretty large room. When we thought we smelled smoke on entry, the housekeeping manager was right on it and rectified things. We saw her daily in the hallways always making sure things were right. We had lounge access and the food selections as always were great. Not so great we’re the other patrons who thought nothing of hacking and sneezing away while in there. Rude in this environment for sure! We fortunately notices the quiet alcove by the door and usually ate there. Location is great and we walked or bussed most places. This is a very expensive area, and as a result feels very safe.

We took our daughter to London for her 8th birthday and treated her to afternoon tea at the Grosvenor House. Everything was perfect. Our server, Philpos, was absolutely amazing in every way. They certainly went above and beyond and we will definitely be back!

Outstanding service from hostess and Oksana. We had a quick stop at the bar for a refreshment drinks before heading out again. Cocktail quality and service was amazing. As we were about to leave, we realised we haven’t printed the attraction tickets which Oksana was more than happy to help. She quickly asked us to email it over to her where she printed not just one but two copies and brought over to us. Great service, great property and great employees. Well Done to you all team. We will be back for more cocktails.

We have recently stayed at Grosvenor House, London and our stay has been pleasant, and we were looked after by the Management Team well. We would like to make a special mention about 3 exceptional Front Office Agents who did a wonderful job and ensured all our queries were answered and made a special effort to assist us during our stay. The persons are: 1. Ms. Jayntika 2. Mr. Tahmim 3. Mr. Hussain Mr. Tahmim specially deserves a special compliment on his efficiency and courtesy.

This large hotel is very well located on Park Lane, providing great access to Mayfair. Despite having Elite status, we were not able to check in early nor were we able to secure an upgrade due to the hotel being fairly full when we visited. Service at the front desk was hit or miss...the worst experience were the queues. At one stage there were at least nine people waiting to be served by one receptionist (with several other staff members just swanning around but not offering any help or even acknowledging their customers). Our double room was OK but not really worthy of the high prices. It was very dated with no USB-C sockets, no Nespresso machine and a large bath but no separate shower cubicle. And there was a distinctly musky smell throughout the corridors. The bar and restaurant areas were quite nice and we enjoyed the large gym. With our Elite status we were given access to the very large executive lounge (think airport lounge). Here they served breakfast between 07:00-11:00, afternoon delights between 13:30-16:30 and evening delights between 18:00-20:00 (alcoholic drinks were served from 17:30-21:30). The highlight was the afternoon scones with clotted cream and jam. The lowlight was breakfast where any cooked-to-order dishes - such as poached eggs - were only available at an additional charge. Also, we do not recommend their 'famous' JW Marriott cheesecake, which was distinctly bland and priced at £12.50 for a small cake. All things considered, we did not really enjoy our experience here. There are far better hotels in the area albeit you won't get any bargains in Mayfair.

We stayed in a beautifully-appointed Executive Room on the 7th floor, had a delicious, perfectly-cooked dinner at the Steakhouse, and enjoyed relaxed drinks at the Red bar. Every area of the hotel we visited was spotlessly clean and fresh, and every single member of staff attentive, friendly and helpful. This hotel exceeded our expectations.

We came to London for our anniversary. We used points but didn't have quite enough, so we paid extra just to stay at a JW brand property, thinking it would be a luxury experience. We had high expectations and they did not deliver. First, we read ahead of time that our loyalty status would get us free breakfast in the restaurant. When we checked in, they said they didn't offer this anymore and we would have to get breakfast in the Executive Lounge. For the first 5 days we ate in the lounge, and the breakfast was sub-par. I have many food allergies and there were not many options for me, so I always left hungry. On the final morning of our stay, we decided we would pay for the buffet breakfast in the restaurant just to get better options. When we entered, they told us that the breakfast was free since we had status. If we knew that we had free breakfast in the restaurant, we would have been going there every day! This was very frustrating and truly impacted our meals throughout our trip. Next, the housekeeping staff threw away a bag of gifts that we had purchased while in London. After reporting this to their staff, they did reimburse us for the gifts, bu these gifts were special and for our family back home (and you can't get them online). This was extremely frustrating. Finally, the hotel overall had a bad smell in the lobby, hallways, and lounge. It was not inviting and we would basically rush as fast as we could to get to our room (where the smell was not much better). The A/C in the room would not get cold enough no matter how much we turned it down, and we were there during the hottest weeks of the summer. We also had afternoon tea at the hotel and the service was not great - the server was not very accommodating to my allergies. Overall, this was not a JW Marriott luxury experience. The only reason I am giving this 2 stars instead of 1 is because of the great location. However, on my next trip to London, I would not stay here again. I would recommend people look at other Marriott properties in the city.
