I stayed at the Cumberland Hotel (Marble Arch) from 1 till 12 of July. I actually stayed at three different types of rooms that I will explain into details: The first room I stayed in is an Executive Room where Ms. Velma was so helpful where she had checked us at 9 in the morning where our flight had arrived...

The best thing about the hotel is its location which is in the center of the city (at Oxford street) surrounded by all the attractions, nice restaurants and shopping places. The hotel is very clean and the service was good, as for the rooms, they are very small and the hotel is very noisy (probably because it is very crowded)...

Dear Ali H. Thank you for your comments. Our Hotel location is perfect for being near the heart of our wonderful city of London. I am disappointed to read you feel our hotel is not suited for couples. Due to the age of our building no two rooms are the same. We have larger styles of accommodation, it appears from...

The Cumberland hotel is at the center of London, at Oxford Street. Very modern and impressive hotel. Rooms are a bit small but enough clean. Stuff was very helpful, and they also tell us to visit a restaurant which is very near to the hotel, has delicious and cheap food. You can move easily by food to see almost all...

Stayed for one night. Couldn't fault the room, and it was at the back but that was reflected in the price we paid. Very clean, staff very helpful however, there is a however. The breakfast was a little disappointing. Long queues to get into the room for breakfast, and not enough space to get your buffet breakfast. When we did...

Dear Humpherisout. Thank you very much for your comments. I do realise in our busy periods the breaksat area can get extremely busy. We have an additional area open during these busy times. This is in the Restaurant upstairs from the Market downstairs were you previously dined. I am very glad to hear you would return to us for a...

It's location is great, but that's where the positive things end. The rooms are small. OK, the design is nice but the wall to wall carpeting was not clean and the room gave a not clean impression. Got a room with the safe not functioning. Had to change rooms as the service was so slow to repair the safe. If...

Greetings from The Cumberland Hotel. Thank you for your valued feedback. Quality is extremely important to us. I am very sad to read you feel you did not receive value for money. Long waiting time at Breakfast is very frustrating. This is not typical of service. July has been extremely busy due to the Festivals, Wimbledon and summertime. I appreciate...

Nice Hotel, but it is VERY busy! It is in great location across from the famous Hyde Park of London. There are plenty of places to eat near this hotel and lots to do. The only reason for the 3 rating is because of the small rooms! The rooms are very small and they don't all offer the best "view"....

Dear Duck1963. Thank you for choosing The Cumberland Hotel. We have many different styles and sizes of rooms, as our building is an older style property. Views of Hyde Park and Oxford Street can be allocated but these view rooms are often booked in advance. All our rooms should have dampeners on to avoid the noise of slamming doors. Thank...

Thought we'd got a bargain here from laterooms.com at a mere £285 for ONE night here on Saturday 6th July in an exec king room - supposed room rate over £800 (note, no breakfast). Arrived at precisely 15.00 which was by luck as that was also the supposed check in time. The reception was chaotic with many guests and many...

Dear Pickle 68. Firstly I apologise profusely for how your experience did not go as it should have done. Your comments are not typical of the feedback we usually receive. The Cumberland is opposite Hyde Park and Marble Arch. Marble Arch Tube Station is literally next door. You can walk to Selfridges in Oxford Street in 3 or 4 minutes. Staying in Marylebone

Neighborhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighborhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
