Stayed the night here on a theatre break. Having stayed in their sister hotels our expectations were high. Staff were 1st class. Hotel room was OK for a night, but wouldn't want to spend to long there. Only one armchair for 2 people. So one of you had to sit either on the bed or on the office chair in... More

Upon walking in the lobby, the ambiance is nice and updated. Check-in took longer than expected, but the staff was very hospitable. When we got to the room, however, you could tell the room was in serious need of updating. Everything felt old and the desk could use some serious cleaning. Our outlets only worked in the bathroom and the... More

I love to stay here on a visit to the Capitol, great location, but this time just wasn't up to scratch. No twin room, despite being requested 4 months ago when I made the booking, stayed in the 'annex' this time in a dark, hot room with an ugly view of the back of the building from the window! Last... ... That is, if location is important to you. Right opposite Hyde Park, right beside the Marble Arch station, around the corner from Oxford Street. In exchange for the premium location, you trade premium price for subpremium accommodation. Tired, small rooms, lack of bottled water, baby cot which is filthy (oh please). We mostly travelled around London on taxi, bus... More

Best hotel I've stayed in yet. Greater so nicely by staff on desk. Given our room, went to rooms and they were immaculate condition , nothing was dirty which sometimes happens. Lots of space and bathroom was lovely too. Slept well , outside nice was nice to hear as no one else seemed to sleep in London! Woke up to... More

We were headed to paris for a couple of days and asked to deposit our luggages as we will be returning to Cumberland but was informed they have no luggage storage facility after their renovation. If we need to store luggage, they will bring it to an external company and we were quoted 40pounds for a large cargo bag, and... More

I have stayed here due to our hotel desk preference over a dozen times. The rooms, wether in the annex, or not are always hot and uncomfortable. The beds are old and lumpy. This hotel is old and dated. The only positive is the location near marble arch.

Stayed here 5 years ago and the hotel has deteriorated tremendously!! Room that we were initially given had the one side of the bed pushed against the wall such that you couldn't get off the bed without climbing over and waking the person next to you. Staff was kind enough to upgrade us to an executive room which was much... More

Staying in Marylebone

Neighborhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighborhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
