    Good With Room For Improvement
Lets start 1st with the fact that this is a very good hotel. The staff (more to come) is attentive and courteous, the rooms well appointed and beds very comfy, sitting areas extraordinarily inviting, strong WIFI and good continental breakfast. It's centrally located and within 3 miles walking distance of most major attractions and parks. It's also located on a small side street that makes you feel like a resident in your own flat. I do wish the service in the sitting areas would have been more attentive. Too much time passes waiting for a server to place an order. This wasn't a "one time" issue it was always. Fix this and I give you 5 stars.
Thank you very much for taking the time to write us a review. I am delighted to know that you enjoyed our Drawing Room and Library, and found our breakfast to be good. With regards to service being more attentive in the sitting areas, I will certainly look into improving this immediately. I hope we will have the pleasure in welcoming you back in the near future and that you will see a positive improvement with more attentive service being provided in the siting areas. Kind regards, Ariane Jessamine-Herd

A quiet hotel in London, a rare find
Clean, comfortable room in an excellent quiet location. I would stay again. Wonderful hot chocolate instead of champagne on arrival, much appreciated. Super friendly and efficient staff. Only downside for me were the unpleasantly strong toiletries but I have my own unscented ones. Note to hotel; a guest's choice of carefully chosen perfume does not need to be overshadowed by shower gel or pillow sprays. Please rethink your kind offers.
Thank you very much for your wonderful review. I am delighted to know that you enjoyed our hot chocolate and found my team to be friend and efficient. With regards to toiletries, we are more than happy to provide unscented ones upon arrival, just let us know for future reservations and we will organise everything for you! We very much look forward to welcoming you back in the near future. Kind regards, Ariane Jessamine-Herd

    Second visit
This is a really nice hotel and my second stay. Lovely reception area with cool design and furnishings, smart honour bar with lovely gin selection and nicely appointed bedrooms. Very good location for West End activities and right side of town for Heathrow. Only small grumbles are £4 for small bottle of water (I think one should be complimentary) and they don't have foam / hard pillows.
Thank you very much for taking the time to post such a lovey review. I am delighted to know that you found our reception lovely and enjoyed our Honesty Bar. With regards to water, we do offer turn down water every evening as a complimentary amenity. For future stays, should you have any pillow or bedding requests please do let us know as we are able to accommodate these preferences. I do hope we will have the pleasure in welcoming you back very soon. Kind regards, Ariane Jessamine-Herd General Manager

Fabulous hotel and location - in the middle of lots of activity, yet one block off, on a quiet tree-lined street, typical of London. Very helpful staff and excellent service, especially Alexandra and her team! Great breakfasts. Easy access to the underground. Lots of restaurants and shopping, Harrod’s, etc. Walking distance to Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens and Kensington Palace.

Perfect stay at this lovely hotel. Staff was so friendly and helpful with everything from laundry service, room service, car rental, lost luggage retrieval. Hotel is on a lovely, quiet residential street but just a short block away from everything you need. We stayed in the junior suite which was very comfortable, extremely quiet, very clean. The lobby area is so cozy and a great place to hang out, have a drink from the honesty bar and meet interesting people from all over the world. We did not eat breakfast there but did have late night room service twice. Club sandwich, soup etc was delicious! Will definitely stay again!

Reception staff was kind and efficient. Room was clean and tidy. However, breakfast was very bad: only myself and an old couple at another table were in the breakfast hall. Only one hotel staff was attending, and he spent the whole time chatting with the couple. He kept ignoring me, I could not even order a hot dish, despite my repeated attempts to catch hos attention. When another waiter came out of the kitchen after 20min, I had to go so I could not order anything. I can well say that breakfast service sucks in this hotel.

Dear Andreas, Whilst I am pleased to hear you found the room comfortable, and our front of house team pleasant I am deeply saddened to hear of your breakfast experience. This is simply not the standard we pride ourselves on, nor is it what we're known for! I have looked into this specific incident and I've reached out to your group travel agent directly. Given the chance, I would love the chance to discuss this further with you. Warmest regards, Rachael Russell rachaelrussell@firmdale.com

From the moment you walk in, the hotel is upscale and charming. Everyone greets you with a smile, and seem sincerely welcoming. The rooms are also charming and happy with a large bathroom. The entire hotel is happy!! You will see what I mean when you stay there. The breakfast, orange juice, and coffee were delicious. We only had breakfast. The service is impeccable, warm, and friendly. We stayed at another Firmdale hotel in London last year, but prefer the Knightsbridge.

This was my second stay at this hotel and this time we booked two rooms for two nights. Both rooms were excellent (double) extremely clean and beautifully decorated. This was at the end of our 4 week trip so it was very relaxing and we loved spending every minute there. Not only is it a beautiful hotel, the staff are wonderful - very friendly, courteous and accomodating to our needs. The location was perfect, it was just a short walk away from Harrods and some of the best shopping as well as public transport links like the bus and tube station. The beds were absolutely amazing and the most comfortable hotel beds I have slept on. They even offered a turn-down service which is not always available these days and it just made is feel more relaxed after a busy day out. This is one of my favourite hotels in London and I will definitely be back!

This gem is located in a prime London location steps away from must-see attractions. It is a elegant townhouse beautifully decorated with comfortable sofas and seating areas. Our room was a good size with a wonderful bathroom. The staff is outstanding and very accommodating. Highly recommended!

This is an amazing place to stay for comfort and beauty. Rooms are small but perfect, and bathrooms are not luxurious but they are adequate and clean and everything feels new. From pillow spray to delectable chocolates we were treated to special touches during our few days. The only hiccup occurred at breakfast when the waiter was totally inept. Inexcusably so. Solution? Don’t stay for breakfast, it isn’t what it used to be and felt skimpy in any case. But the hotel is so divine otherwise it doesn’t really matter.

What a fabulous hotel, fabulous location and most importantly, fabulous staff! Nothing was too much trouble especially the front line team ( Ali was outstanding). They have an honesty bar and simple self service breakfast ( plus ordered hot options) enabling more staff to be at front of house. So many other hotels are just understaffed currently post COVID / Brexit. Learn from this boutique hotel on how to deliver customer service. A real gem!

Location Location Location. Perfect proximity to shopping, theater, tours and top restaurants. Equally impressive was the staff. Professional, kind and welcoming and extremely helpful. From recommendations to reservations they executed everything to perfection. The room was larger than expected and beautifully decorated. If I had to find a negative it would two...no cable news channels available and I would have preferred more lighting near the make up mirror.. Other than that I would highly recommend the hotel and definitely plan to return for work and pleasure.
