Very disappointed with our stay, rooms are very dated and very basic. Paid £11.50 each for a continental breakfast, had to continuously ask for more bread, milk etc. No fresh fruit on cold meats on offer. Don’t waste your money on the breakfast.

Hotel has minimal parking spaces so once you’re in a space don’t leave.

Great location, near to Chalk Farm tube and Camden. Our room was on the third floor and looked to be fairly recently decorated. It was clean and warm but basic. It was let down by the uncomfortable bed and the almost constant noise we think must have come from the lift which was next door to us and kept us awake at night. The double room only had one chair for two of us and it was uncomfortable for our backs to sit on the bed with a wood headboard and only one flat pillow each. Extra pillows or plump pillows would really make a difference to sleep, comfort and review score. We had a window which had a view of the London skyline which was nice. The check in and checkout went smoothly and staff were helpful and friendly. The reception was nicely decorated for Christmas. The price we paid booking in advance was a lot less than other hotels so we accepted the room it as it was.

The only plus was that the staff were helpful when we had an issue. The whole Hotel is some what dated and in need of a update. Our next door neighbour would shout out in his sleep and mutter some expletives, which was worrying. We were put in a room on the fifth floor and was told by a member of staff that all the rooms on the fifth were empty, which obviously was not the case. We had issues with the key card on numerous occasions and it took us a good few minutes before the door unlocked. Throughout our four day stay we had no housekeeping, which incuded changing towels, bed linen and emptying the bin. In addition to this there restaurant was permantly closed throughout our stay, so it was more cost to us for eating out. On the whole we had what we paid for which wasn't great.

As soon as the Uber pull up at the hotel I knew I had made a massive mistake. The outside looks like a halfway house. Once you walk into the lobby the stench of damp and dirt hits you. Before we checked in we actually sat and looked for other hotels but with it been London fashion week hotels are few and far between. So we checked in and was given a room on the 4th floor. The room it's self was surprisingly ok at first glance but the room stank of paint (I suppose not a bad thing because it must mean it's been updated). The bathroom was basic with toiletries. The sink tap was filthy and there was pubic hairs around the bath. The bin had not been emptied and they were tissues behind the bedside table. The mattress is like one from a youth hostel you know the blue hard as iron ones. The wardrobe is built in is huge but smells fusty . There was someone's opinion of the room written on the bedside table! The windows were open and it was freezing. After some brut force we managed to close the window. The windows are so ill fitting they rattle with everything heavy vehicle that drives by. With the room been so cold I tried to put on the radiator it didn't work so I went to reception to see if they could help and I also wanted to report the graffiti. I was greeted by the member of staff laughing in my face saying "Don't be silly far too early for heating" So then I replied that the room was that cold if there was no heat we'd need an extra duvet each (twin room) I was informed that they don't keep a duvet spare ! So I said in the whole of this building there is not one spare duvet ? Again she said no. So I asked what else could be done because the windows are not keeping any heat in whatsoever. The she literally tutted at me span on her heels and I'm almost positive she cold me to f off under her breath as she went to speak to a manager. Who said there are no spare duvets the hotel is full and I could have a plug in radiator. The radiator was filthy but I accepted and took it up. It did actually make a difference. With the mattress and the window rattling all night we have had little to no sleep. I've honestly never stayed in such a dated and run down place with such rude staff.

Don’t stay at this hotel!
The room was smelly, there is no fresh air… no windows to open….
I checked at 11.30 pm and 2 hours later I had to get out of this hotel … there was a noise coming from the ceiling ( air pipe) it was so annoying that I couldn’t sleep… on top of it the air was coming from this pipe so intense that I felt that there is a ventilator on top of my head.
I had to get out and go to another hotel…
I complained at the reception, they said that they have to wait until 6h in the morning to file a complaint.
Pleasent receptionist but couldn’t help me…
Next day I went to the hotel to complain, I spoke with menager , he said he can’t refund ore give me a discount regardless that I had to pay for another hotel…
He offered me another room for some other time and the only thing he can do he said he can upgrade it for me…
So he was trying to make me stay again at the same hotel…
He was not bothered that I will make a complaint…
Overall really bad experience… do not stay at this hotel!

Clean, tidy, good value for money.
Helpful friendly staff on reception.
10mins walk from tube.
Clean shower and bathroom
Bed could have been more comfortable but clean new bedding of a good quality.
Seems a bit of a cheek that you have to pay extra for WiFi in the room - even the really cheap hotels don’t make you do that any more!

So I have stayed at this Hotel multiple times in the past. I DJ in London and use this as a base when up from my home (Hastings) so I don't have a 3 hour drive after a long evening. And up until now it's been fine, the hotel is dated but it's clean and I'm happy enough as long as I have a shower and a bed. It does it's job being a cheap and cheerful place to stay and has the bonus of plenty of free weekend parking around Primrose Hill.

You can stop reading there if you want positives.

So I had a gig on 20th of August 2021 and I happily booked into the hotel at a rate of ÂŁ52 a night, fine. Except on the DAY BEFORE I got an email telling me that my stay had been cancelled.

I was offered alternative accommodation at the International Hotel (also Britannia) a hotel I don't know and an area I don't really know that well either (canary wharf), parking on site was available at ÂŁ25 per night. Not a charge I wanted added on to my bill.

I called the Hampstead hotel and spoke to the staff member who answered the phone, we had a fairly pleasant conversation and I made him aware that I thought it was unfair to cancel at so short a notice and was told they had heard a week before, so why wasn't I told a week ago when it would have been easier to find an alternative? Getting more upset by this I stated that I would change to their alternative but I needed guaranteed parking and I'd stay if they could provide that to me free of charge as a gesture of good will as I was told so late.

The receptionist said he would check with the manager and get him to call me back to sort out the booking.

Three hours later no one had called me back and time was ticking so I called back and spoke to a new staff member who knew about the issues I asked if he was the boss and he said yes he was. After a chat he sorted a new booking for me and said that the parking was free for me and he'd make a note on the new booking.

Happy enough I turned up at the International Hotel on the 20th after a long day at work, tired after a 3 hour drive to the venue and expecting everything would be sorted. Parked my car and went to reception.

Booked in no problem and then Parking. After speaking to the manager of the International the receptionist told me that was something that has never been done, there were no notes on the booking and they couldn't offer me that at all.

So, the 'manager' at Hampstead clearly lied to me and instead of a ÂŁ52 stay I was instead charged ÂŁ73, ÂŁ21 for the parking. Plus the extra for petrol to and from my even. To say I'm unimpressed is an understatement. I would have paid less for a better room nearer to my event had I the option and the time to do it.

A shame how they treat their repeat customers. I won't be staying here again as I can't trust them, a shame.

My wife and I had booked to stay at this hotel for the weekend of the 20th and 21st March 2020. We made the booking via Groupon. Initially I had to call the hotel to book the rooms, the phone number provided was an 0871 number and it cost me over ÂŁ15 for the phone call. Unfortunately because of the onset of Covid-19 we were unable to travel to London therefore I had to contact the hotel to cancel so that I could get my money back.
The call centre that handled the call were less than helpful and even argued that I should have called prior to the first night to cancel despite the advice from the government to not travel. The call to cancel cost me a further ÂŁ20+ therefore I gained nothing from booking through Groupon an had to put up with the rude and unhelpful staff at this establishment.
Whatever you do, do not book with these people.

What a little gem, the hotel is in Hampstead and has some parking on site. We were allocated rooms in the 5th floor overlooking St John's Wood, amazing views. The bedroom was clean, recently decorated and spacious, the bedding was crisp and clean. New carpets throughout the public areas, corridors and bedrooms. Comparing this to a premier inn, beaten on price alone. Only continental breakfast but lots of local places for food and such like. Would recommend.

We booked for an overnight stay as my husband had a hospital appointment nearby the next day. we booked on line which was easy and l must say that the reception staff were very helpful and pleasant. when we arrived there was a middle aged lady sitting on the steps of the hotel dressed in her dressing gown and slippers having a cigarette. we checked into the hotel was given the key then directed to the room, we had to go through the TV lounge and there were 2 men sitting in the lounge watching TV with their "traveling bags" along side of them, l know l shouldn't make judgement but my feelings were that the men were possibly homeless and had been put up in the hotel for the night, the twin room we were allocated was very large but very sparce, there was a very small TV and the small amount of furniture in the room was old and outdated. one of the small glass coffee tables in the room had broken legs which l thought was quite dangerous as the table was made of glass. there was a very large water mark on the ceiling possibly from a previous leak. the room was adequate for the ÂŁ49 we paid l suppose which is very cheap for a London hotel but we only wanted to rest our heads for the night. the room did not have a window which we knew when we booked the room. the hotel wanted an extra ÂŁ10 per night for a room with a window!!! the beds were clean but l wouldn't have wanted to stay any longer than the one night. the inside of the building was more like a hostel than a hotel, Be aware that although the hotel does have parking facilities but there is a ÂŁ15 charge

It’s out the way shops a roughly a 15 minute walk as for taxi there very expensive it’s £3.40 per mile for example to the o2 arena is £34.00 one way the bus is the cheapest option or tube but unfortunately that part of the tube Chalk Farm tubestation isn’t disabled accessory at the moment and that’s the closest to the hotel hope this helps
