I had a great one night stay at the Thistle, it took a little while to check in but that was fine and I was given an upgrade to a family room with a nicer view over the park. Room was very clean and size was good, bed was medium to firm but was fine with good options of pillows. The bathroom was great, really modern with large rainforest shower, nice shower gel provided, would definitely only want one person in the bathroom at a time though. I had 3 bottles of water in my room, which was great and also a coffee maker with decaf coffee (as well as normal), which is rare. The view over the park was very nice and also rare in London. Breakfast was great, standard fare on the buffet to a good standard and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The hotel was in the cheaper price band too when I was booking so good value.…

The room was so small there was no where to put down our suitcase to get our clothes out. We were changed to a very slightly bigger room which was better. Tiny lifts and very dated rooms. In quite a safe area with transport close by. No concierge or any brochures to help with getting around London.

Some of the reviews were not great so I was concerned but I have to say we were very pleased with the hotel's location, the rooms and the service..especially considering the price for hotel rooms in London. This was good value and our stay was very comfortable.

Thanks to Chiboy who looked after us at breakfast and chef Seadik. Hotel is an easy 2-3 minute walk from Queensway Tube Station and 6-7 from Bayswater Station- be warned neither has a lift that goes from the platform to street level.

The Thistle Kensington Gardens is a nice 4-star hotel though certainly nothing fancy. It's clean and attractive and the location is nice, just across the street from the Gardens and easily accessible to the Bayswater and Queensway tube stations. The buffet breakfast was good and the breakfast employees were always diligently clearing away your plates and making sure you had what you needed. The beds and pillows were comfortable. There's a 24-hour convenience store below the hotel and lots of restaurants and stores (like a Tesco Express) just a few blocks away.

Lovely accommodation but on the small side. Nowhere to really put your bags if your a couple so constantly stepping over them. No trolleys for bags as lifts are too small to fit them in. Serving staff are lovely and we recommend the breakfast for your mornings. Great location for getting around London and not far to the Underground railway which is an experience in itself. Hyde park is opposite for a morning stroll and queensbury street for food. A little expensive as it’s a touristy area. Take a longer walk and you’ll find cheaper alternatives. The fifth star is off due to no fridge or coffee making available in the room.

Walking distance to all public transport and eateries and a beautiful Hyde Park to go walking.Breakfast is great and Staff are friendly and helpful. Room is not spacious but the service is otherwise very good. We will come back here again thanks for having us.

This was quite a gem of a find. Very clean, nice amenities, and the staff was so nice and accommodating. Our room overlooked Hyde Park, and we were walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants. There’s also a restaurant on site with a nice and full buffet breakfast. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

I had a pleasant two night stay at Thistle Kensington Gardens. The hotel is conveniently situated in 5 minutes from the underground, right opposite Kensington Gardens. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean. They are small but cosy. Really enjoyed staying there!
