Lovely building and location but………::totally disorganised managerially. Booked room weeks in advance requesting non feather extra pillows. Arrived at 3 pm, the promised checkin time but room not ready. Sent to alternate room to change but this had cleaners in iit. Back to reception( it’s a big hotel with very long walks) for another temporary room. Told to leave bags there and these would be waiting for us in proper room when returning from event. Whole process took 45 mins: thus late for anniversary event, hassled upset. Returned 6 hours later after theatre, room ready but no bags in new room and no pillows. Another 30 minutes of chaos finding out where bags and pillows might be. Whole experience was very poor - resembled Fawlty Towers on a bad day 😫. Finally got to bed after midnight. Management seems to have very poor grip on running top class hotel. …
We had a great experience at London Marriott County Hall. The service was great from check in to check out. They were able to accommodate early check in which was extremely helpful after a long flight. I was impressed with the upkeep of the hotel. Everything was clean and in great shape, from the rooms to all the common areas. The location is great as well, with easy access to a couple of tube stations just a 5 minute walk away. Right on the Thames as well, which also makes catching a Uber boat a decent way to get around as well. Big Ben/Westminster Abby/Palace and the London eye are a <5 min away. I would definitely consider staying again the next time we're in London.
I rarely leave reviews but our family - 2 adults and a 12 yo - had a great experience at the Marriott County Hall. Everyone who worked there was polite and efficient. We did the M Club and thoroughly enjoyed the breakfasts and evening get togethers. We even hit the pool one night and it was awesome. The view was postcard-worthy from just about every vantage point and it was super convenient for everything we had on our itinerary.
Stayed at Marriot County Hall last weekend. The views of the Thames and the London Eye were impressive, but it was terrible value for money. We were gifted the stay luckily but the room rate just short of £500 per night excluded breakfast and other than the glass of fizz while checking in, that was as far as the luxury went. The room was OK, but a very long walk from reception, the bathroom was clean but not great (no hot water in the basin and the drain cover permanently lifted off in the shower). The interior of the historic building wasn’t really visible, just long corridors with rooms off. Breakfast was even worse value. We paid £56 for a smoothy, toast and a full English including coffee and OJ! The staff were really helpful and friendly, but next time I’ll stay in a Premier Inn as there is absolutely no justification for the prices charged at the Marriot!…
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the London Marriott County Hall. It was only two nights but the location was perfect to take in the sites. We got a room with a view of Big Ben and Parliament, which was beautiful morning and night. Easy access to the tube and the river walk, too. The service was exceptional at every level. We especially want to mention Jay for his wonderful service in Gillray’s and The Library. He was very friendly and proved exceptional service as did everyone in the hotel. The M Club was a very nice place to get a drink and snacks. The M Club breakfast is served in The Library, which is a lovely setting. I know I sound like a broken record, but the service in the M Club matched the rest of the of the hotel—it was too notch. We can’t wait to return to London, and we will stay at the Marriott County Hall!…
Convenient location. Check-in was smooth and friendly. Due to status I expected a good upgrade as they had a lot of availability at the time of my stay, instead I was given a very weak upgrade. Bed was not comfortable. The room was too warm, even when I shut off the thermostat. I slept poorly. There were black out curtains; however, the bright lights from the London eye found their way around the top of the curtains. My breakfast was serviced in the library. Nice seating area. You were able to order one cold item and one hot item. The cold items included a choice of pastry/croissant/cereal/ yogurt/smoothie/muffin or chia pudding. Overall I did not care for the hot breakfast items offered, (traditional English/Scottish smoked salmon/avocado toast or pancakes) I asked if they could make scrambled eggs (not on menu), they accommodated my request, unfortunately they were horrible. Tea leaves are in plastic bags, I personally do not favor tea leaves that seep in a plastic pouch. The lounge is table service, you can choose from 2 small cold appetizers and they bring you the warm appetizer of the day, you have to use a QR code as the menu, I did not have my phone on me and found this off putting. I was brought an item that I didn't order, when I said I ordered something else I was told they didn't have what I ordered, I find it odd that I wasn't told that upfront and asked to choose a different item. I didn't want what they brought, strange service. The property is very clean and thankfully does not have an overpowering perfume scent as some of the Marriott properties do.…
This hotel was fabulous! The location, the rooms and the staff were wonderful and accommodating! Every time you walked by the lobby the staff greeted you. The front desk employees helped with directions, currency exchange and so much more. The rooms were clean and modern. The restaurant staff was friendly and breakfast was great! As soon as we came back to the states we booked the same hotel again for our trip this year.
Excellent room but did require a bit of adjustment as an open window was causing the wind to howl just outside the room. However, it was quickly attended to. The room was well appointed with outlets for the UK, EU, and the US and toiletries that smell so good we're looking to purchase them when we get home. Other than that, service was excellent, the pool was perfect, and the staff was exceedingly courteous and attentive to my six year old son. Shout out to Sanda and Jay for their breakfast service at the Library and Gillray's. Sanda's reputation is well deserved and Jay was also excellent. Give these folks a raise, Marriott!
Our family of 4 came for a vacation. We had trouble with a VRBO and so we ended up at this Marriott. The location is right at the Thames and the London Eye. It’s a great spot from a tourist perspective. There are plenty of metro stops and bus stops right here and you can easily walk across the bridge to Parliament/Big Ben or down the Thames to other parts of the city. The staff was great. Everyone from the front desk to the cleaning crew to the restaurant staff was good to work with. I’m particular, Felicia and Ana Paula in the M lounge breakfast and George at the front of the building were very helpful.
I recently stayed at Marriott County Hall London and it was a fantastic experience. The location is superb, with iconic landmarks close by, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The rooms are spacious, well-equipped and offer stunning views of the River Thames. The facilities are excellent, including a fitness center, pool and spa, and the food at the on-site restaurant was exceptional. I highly recommend this hotel for both business and leisure travelers.
