Well, wow!!!! I give this beautiful, sophisticated hotel a 10 out of 10. Our gorgeous room overlooking the Thames was amazing. Beds comfy, plenty of room. Everywhere was spotless. The staff were just incredible, they couldn't do enough for us. My 8 year old daughter even received a teddy bear as a gift from the hotel. We went out and... More

Marriott County Hall is a great option for families or those vacationing in UK. It is centrally located close to major attractions and very easy to catch buses, water taxis, etc. Our room was wonderful very large and modern by London standards. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was very well appointed and good room to maneuver. We had an awesome... More

I loved, this hotel. I write few hotel reviews, despite staying in a LOT of hotels. This hotel was truly delightful. The design has more than a touch of whimsy and I found myself delighting in these touches. The location was excellent for sightseeing and the staff bent over backwards to make sure we had everything we needed. Yes, there... More

Excellent location, superb views, smart and interesting room decor made this a pleasurable stay. Breakfast was disappointing for its price, would have expected a larger selection of both hot and cold/cereals/pastry for a large London hotel. We complained about our room and got it switched quickly and hassle free which was nice but had I not complained I would have... More

Last time I visited this hotel, it was not in good shape at all. This time I found it renovated inside out. Looks like there is nothing that is left untouched, everything is brand new. Hallways, rooms bathroom, everything is brand new. They have done an amazing job.. and of course it has one of the best location in London. About... More

This is our third time at County Hall. We had a renovated room which was spacious, with a comfortable bed and an excellent bathroom with a walk in shower. Staff are very friendly, a special mention to Arnold in the restaurant and Sam the most amazing bar manager we have ever come across.

This was my fifth stay at Marriott's County Hall hotel this year. I always find the hotel very welcoming, the staff always polite and helpful, making an effort to talk to my children. The rooms are to a high standard and very clean. Even before the renovations the rooms where a little dated but kept to good standard. The gym... More

We had the basic room, and the size of it was really good with a big bathroom, large walk-in shower and hallway. Really stylish and modern decor through out the room. Comfy king size bed! Very clean room as well. Got a complimentary bottle of prosecco because we mentioned it was our honeymoon. The view from our window was not... More

Stayed here two nights on a weekend break to London, great location on south bank of the Thames, we chose the hotel because of its proximity to the Oval cricket ground. Booked a room with the view of Big Ben, small room fir the price and breakfast not included! Decided not to pay the £20 per person for breakfast and... More

Staying in Southbank

Neighborhood Profile
Southbank
Big time attractions such as the London Eye and a thriving theatre scene (compliments of the National Theatre and the Young Vic) are but a few of the reasons that Southbank is such a collectively cherished part of town. With plenty of family friendly activities and venues lined up along a pedestrianized river bank between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo Bridge, visitors can always expect a casual and festive atmosphere. On top of all the fun stuff to do at Southbank is the opportunity to simply sit back and admire photo-op views of iconic landmarks like Parliament and St Paul's Cathedral, just on across the Thames.
