Had a fabulous treat with friends celebrating a hen weekend. Greeted by Renee our waitress who is a credit to the establishment, fantastic service and fantastic food. Would definitely recommend anyone wanting a special treat. Will definitely be returning. Thank you.
Fabulous stay. We were greeted with Champagne and an amazing upgrade to a River View Room on arrival. From the window, you could see the London Eye and Big Ben which was fab. The room was very clean and well turned out with a lovely bathroom with Molton Brown toiletries. The shower was hot and very powerful. Attentive staff and useful bag storage. So welcoming we decided to return for lunch after checkout. We will be back. Thank you!
Service was incredible and our server, Aurora, was amazing. Loved afternoon tea at the Country Courthouse Marriott. Such a wonderful treat! We had the unlimited bubbly with the tea and found it so relaxing that we will probably do it again during our stay here!
Titanium member. Booked three rooms months ago. Hotel failed to acknowledge status at check-in. What is the point of having a profile and preferences if they are not followed. Low floor rooms. Suite awards not honored. Not a happy start to vacation. Management did not reach out to correct. Rooms for family members scattered although on one floor.
Very disappointed! Can't believe a hotel of this size only has 1 lift for guests! We had to walk a long way to our room. Not good enough! Thank God I'm not elderly it would have been too much! However, on a plus point when you eventually reached your room they were very well decorated and clean. But the constant sound at night of what sounded like a wind turbine was terrible and it wasn't our air con as that was not on! The restaurant has lovely views its the shame the views are spoilt with such dirty windows! Please clean them! Also, shame not all diners can see the view as a lot of diners sitting with their back against the windows. Missing a trick here Marriot! Food good - service slow - especially at breakfast. With my husbands cooked breakfast arriving 15 minutes after all in our party had finished theirs. In fairness the waitress apologised, but that shouldn't happen! Bar not well stocked as every Bourbon my husband asked for on the menu they didn't have in stock. No concierge to help you up the stairs when you arrive with your suitcases! And no welcome greeting. Poor! My husband forgot his wash bag and the receptionist was kind enough to supply toothbrush etc. which was good The hotel could do a lot better. I usually love Marriots and I'm a member of Bonvy but I will think twice before staying here again. Bit of a disappointment. Could do better! Especially for the price. Good location for sightseeing. Top tip ask for a room near the lift. It will be worth it.…
Wonderful hotel and location with great staff. Take time to speak with the Bell Staff they are friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The front desk was great at check-in and were even able to up grade our room in order to accommodate an early arrival after an overnight flight from Atlanta. I can’t wait my the next trip to London.
The hotel has an interesting location, next to Thames and the London Eye could be seen from our room. Good breakfast, nice room/bathroom. A bit too long of a walk if your room is far from the lifts. Classic high end Marriott.
This was an amazing experience, very friendly staff. As a Marriott bonvoy member this hotel honored all gold benefits. And cant wait to stay here again at the end of this month, this upcoming stay will be my first time staying at a marriott property as a platinum member. The location of this hotel is what sets it apart, the amazing room designs and overall history of this place.
Been fortunate to stay at this hotel on a few occasions now. Great location for taking in the sights and shows. Customer service is second to none! Leena and Martina made my 8 year old daughters stay unforgettable. Great facilities, plenty of space in the swimming pool and gym. Excellent value! Will definitely arrange to visit again!
In as few words as possible NO WAY IS THIS A FIVE STAR HOTEL My advice is to shut down for a few days and give intensive training to the staff. From the minute I stepped in it was hotel hell My husband was not with me. He is a Platinum. He was unsure if he was going to join me as we had a family emergency. I was questioned as if I was trying to steal an upgrade from the hotel fraud as it were. After my discussion at the front desk one of the poorly trained staff called my husband to confirm my story before I even got into my room Believe me if I was going to rip Marriott off it would not be at this hotel. I ordered room service got it delivered in paper plates with flat wooden forks.I called for ice 3× gave that up eventually . There were no washcloths in the room,no bags for laundry etc. Now let's talk about food service. Breakfast was a la cart with a limited menu.I was served a croissant and soft boiled eggs on a flat plate had no idea what I was going to eat the eggs in. It was basically thrown on the plate. This is a serious lack of training and common sense. The staff in the dining room was unsmiling and stiff. Its just not what a 5 star should be.Asking for ice seems to be the holy grail here. I requested again no delivery. The British government has declared the pandemic over the expectation is that service would be at least somewhat back to normal Most of the pandemic precautions have now begun to look like cost savings for Marriott .The one thing I can say is the front door staff is wonderful. Maybe they should do the training. Additionally the area is a huge tourist gathering even with children it's very crowded all the time My advice stay somewhere else. …
