Small room - ONE Really small window and and noise from the hallway is not what you expect when paying 325 pund a night for a single room. Breakfast not included. Location is Really good which is why this hotel was chosen but Really was a dissapointment
This is a fantastic Hilton hotel. The staff are excellent: professional, friendly and helpful. The whole hotel is well kept. Our room on the Executive floor had an extremely comfortable bed, great cupboard and wardrobe space and a spacious bathroom. The view over Hyde Park was the icing on the cake. The Exec Lounge is currently closed but the Podium Bar is being used instead. The selection of drinks and snacks was great. I used the gym - there is a good range of equipment including free weights. Breakfast had something for everyone and items available to order. Some of the best breakfast service we've experienced in terms of replenishment and cleanliness. The one niggle of our stay was that we booked a late check out, but our key cards expired not once, but twice. Reception staff resolved this, but it was a pain to return to our room after breakfast and find we couldn't get in and again when we returned to collect our bags shortly before the agreed check out time.…
We had just completed the London vitality 10000 and wanted something to eat before driving home. Not only did we have to wait forever but paid a fortune and got really bad service in a restaurant with maybe less than 10 customers after this experience I would not use Hilton for anything
If you are visiting London I would highly recommend this facility for quality, comfort and neighborhood . Everyone from doorman on are very friendly and helpful. You should also go to bar on 28th floor for an outstanding view, both daylight and night
you will enjoy your stay at this property anytime anyday. you can stay here comfortably without thinking of missing anything, because you will always feel welcome, it is like home, i highly recommend it, if you want to stay here with your family, you will never regret it. do stay here. Thank you!
Nice bedrooms, but unfortunately this is the only good thing I can bring myself to say about this hotel. Arrived and none of the rooms we had booked were available despite it being 15:20. Asked to wait in the bar. The bar was soulless as half of it was being cornered off and used as the Executive Lounge which meant we had the pleasure of watching other guests help themselves to free food and drink next to us while we were asked to pay just over £6 for a bottle of beer and offered zero snacks. Luckily for us the service was abysmal and we were continually completely ignored by the staff despite there being at least 5 waiting staff on duty and only 2 tables, therefore didn't have the option to spend too much. After an hour of waiting to be called for my room, I finally went back to reception where they found me a room. When I kindly requested not to have an adjoining room, which was stated on my Honors preferences, I was told that it was the only room they had left, despite it being only quarter past 4 in the afternoon, this was confirmed by the Supervisor. Room was clean and tidy and bed was fine. However next morning I went down to breakfast to find the restaurant closed at 06:45 and told it didn't open until 7 which on a weekday in London is just not right, so I had to skip breakfast to get to work. This is the second time I have used this hotel and both times I have been totally under whelmed with the customer service, despite both time paying over £300 for the room. If you expect any level of service or value for money, I suggest you avoid and try one of the many other excellent hotels on and around Park Lane …
We could not have asked for a better stay. This was our first trip to london and this hotel made it perfect. The check in, the room, the breakfast and the service were all 5 star. We will definitely be returning in the future. Thankyou :)
Since joining Hilton Honors in 2005 my wife and i have stayed at 48 Hiltons and we feel that we can fairly judge the standards of Hiltons and by far the best in terms of Guest Relations, Welcoming Guests, Facilities Rooms with wonderful views over London, such as three Restaurants, proximity to 3 Tube Stations, it's location which with Hyde Park across the road appears to be out of Central London, a 10 minute walking you are in Oxford Street and a not dissimilar walk will bring you to Knightsbridge. It has been 11 months since we stayed at the hotel and with Coronavirus we wondered whether the above quliities it has always shown to us would sstill be present, we needn't have worried, as we arrived MARK not only remembered us but gave us a wonderful welcome back as did ROY when he was on duty. BOB the Concierge who has an amazing knowledge of London and who has helped us so many times also welcomed us back. BENNY one of the Guest Relations Staff who we have known for some time ensured that our reception and check-in was swift and it was lovely to see so many staff that we had known for some time were still in post.He was so helpful to us on so many occasions during our visit. I mentioned earlier that the Hotel had 3 Restaurants Trader Vic's that serves Oriental Food, The Podium provides English Type Food and GALVIN'S on the 28th Floor is High End Food of amazing quality. So who are staff who impressed us at the 2 Restaurants that we used during our 8 night stay. Firstly GALVIN's we had two meals there and the Sunday Lunch is a revelation, superb food in a location that gives wonderful views of London PETER the General Manager welcomed us back and we had one or two chats during our visit and it was lovely to see him again. ANTONINO who supervises the restaurant gave great service to us and ensured that our meals were nothing less than perfection. ADRIANA served us for both meals and she is a truly impressive waitress who is so knowledgeable regarding the dishes MATEO a wine we spoke to Mateo and when we told him which type of drink we liked Smoooth Rose he produced one of staggering good quality RUDINA The sommelier also welcomed us back and her knowledge of wine is staggeringly good and it was lovely to see her again ZOEY who you find in the Foyer take s bookings for all Restaurants in the Hotel and we had several wonderful conversations with her she has a wonderful personality and her inter-action with the guests is quite remarkable and we witnessed it several times during our visit, very impressive. With regard to Then Podium we had many meals there are these are the staff who impressed us with both their welcome and also their wonderful table service:- VINCENZO- who supervised all of our meals was so attentive and ensured all meals we took inn the restaurant were so enjoyable a very impressive member of staff FABIANA- She is a Hostess and escorts guests to their table and has a wonderful personality and is very impressive in the role. The following Restaurant Staff served our meals and each is worthy of mention since the standard of Restaurant Service in the Podiumde is extremely good: - MAE- who we had many amusing conversations FATIMA-we spoke about the Parrots in Hyde Park and Hilton Honors Tiers KIM- who was a new waiter served us many times and we were impressed with him RISHA-very accomplished waitress who served us so well NEGET- has a wonderful personality and had a good knowledge of the dishes MARWISH;- who is on placement served us several times and we had several conversations about his placement. RAJA-gave us very good service during several meals ATHENA-who has a nice personality is a very good waitress CHERYL:- has a good knowledge of the dishes and served us so many times In addition to the service the staff of the Podium mentioned above give to us in the Restaurant Section, they also served us in the Executive Lounge which was temporarily located in the Podium bu it will re-locate to its original location on the 1st floor after refurbishment in the next week or so, KREMELLA-was responsible for refreshing our room each day and did this to the highest standards and we were able to thank for this she is very impressive. CHARLOTTE- who is PA tothe General Manager came to see us when we were in the Podium and it was lovely to see her as she had helped us so much prior to our visit. SIIGGY who is responsible for Rooms welcomed us back and asked if we had any issues with the room which we were able to say we didn't and we had many conversations with him as we have known him for many years FALCON The porter came over to us and welcomed us back and he was very helpful when we left. ISHITA- who we have known since we first visited the hotel welcomed us back so warmly and she helped us so many times during the visit. ALONSO- who was so helpful on our previous visit welcomed us back and it was nice to see him. NITTI -Head of Operations came over to see us when we are in the Foyer and said if there were any problems to contact us and said it was nice to see us back in the Hotel. ANTHONY- who is Execurtive Chef saw us and welcomed us back, we have known him for so long and it is always nice to see him again In view of the fact that we had missed a function in on elf the ballrooms STEVE who is Head of Food and Beverage and DAVID who looks after functions in the ballrooms showed us the newly refurbished Ballrooms and gave us information on the detail that goes into functions, it was very informative and the ballrooms look magnificent, they are both very impressive members of staff. JUSTYNA- showed us the newly refurbished Executive Lounge which is nearly ready to welcome guests and we cannot wait to sample it on our next visit. Justyna is a very impressive member of staff with a wonderful personality and what we did do after seeing the Executive lounge was to take her across the road to see the wild Parrots in Hyde Park and by holding salt-Free nuts in her hand she fed two of them on her hand much to her delight, which was the least we could do given =her kindness to us. The whole visit was pure ;pleasure and we cannot wait to return.…
Best food and service in London. No question!!!! The way they allow freedom is lovely, you feel part of the family as soon as you pass by the wonderful staff at reception. The bar remains one of the best cocktail menu and taste in London, then the team in the restaurant lead by Peter, Antonino and Rodina a simply the very best of the best. Debbie and her team provided excellent and high quality food. What a menu!!! Wow.
Thank you so much for hosting our group at afternoon tea. All the servers were amazing, incredibly friendly and patient to our very busy, large group! The food was excellent - three of my group told me it was the best afternoon tea that they've ever been to, which I'm sure is very high praise compared to other London teas! However, the very best part of our experience was definitely the care and attention paid to us by the waiters and waitresses. One of our party mobilises with a walker, and she praised the way the staff treated her, helping her up the stairs and ensuring that she was comfortable. I believe she wanted to pass on her personal thanks to one of the waitresses, Cheryl Fernandez, and I noticed many other servers also catered to her needs. She compared the service to another London afternoon tea where she felt largely ignored in comparison. I really appreciated our tables being in their own little nook of the dining room as we were able to play a few games and things without annoying the other guests too much! I also really appreciated many members of the team coming up to me and asking if everything was okay, especially even checking to see if you had speakers I could use. Finally, I have to pass on thanks to your concierge team for helping guide our way to our next event of the night! Thank you again for such a brilliant experience. I will be spreading the word about your wonderful afternoon tea and how you catered for such a large group with incredible professionalism. Best wishes, Stephanie D'Costa…
