Great locations for the museums, Hyde park, Albert Hall and the tube stop. We could nip back for a rest and got there to beat the queues. By afternoon, the Natural History and Science museums were heaving. We had a family suite, which was very nice. The staff were very pleasant and the club lounge was really nice. A few...

Stayed for two nights in a Standard room. Nice size, very clean. Echo all comments about location and friendly staff. Breakfast excellent. Note: if you are going around London for the day, your room may not get serviced until 5pm, so if you intend getting back earlier - ask. We didn't, and got back around 2.30 to find the room...

I usually like this property but the fact that I had to wait for 10 minutes to check in completely soured my experience this time. I arrived on a Sunday afternoon and there was one person on check in. The two guys at the Concierge desk stood and watched - you would think that they might be trained to check...

Convenient for central London and close to Kensington Attended a two day seminar, facilities were good, as was the service Room was small, but was a double, just. In room was typical Crowne Plaza standard with everything you need. Breakfast was good and varied although eggs tasted like they were made from powder? Overall worth the 4 stars

I came here for a quick trip with my teenage son. It was only about 20 minutes from Heathrow (NOTE: Gatwick is about 1 hour and 20 minutes away). The room was very accommodating, being two floors, with my son on one floor and me on the other. Only drawback was one bathroom, which was upstairs. The room had a...

We visited the Crown Plaza for a one night stay for our anniversary. Chosen primarily for its proximity to the Royal Albert Hall. The staff at check in were very polite, friendly and efficient. Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
