Stayed one night at the Eden Plaza Hotel in July. Despite its grand sounding name it is quite an ordinary hotel with no particular outstanding features, except that it is ideally situated for The Natural History Museum, V & A Museum, Royal Albert Hall etc. Fairly priced compared to the big name hotels close by but fairly basic, and take... We had tickets for a concert at the Royal Albert Hall, and did not want to rush for the last train home. Friends recommended this hotel, and we were not disappointed. The check in was efficient but not terribly welcoming, which I suspect was due to the reception desk staff's lack of English. We had to take our own bags... More

In London on a business trip and used this hotel for the first time. It is a short walk from Gloucester Road tube station off Cromwell road close to the Natural History Museum. it is clean with a bright lobby, friendly professional staff at reception and is well maintained. this is good value for a central London Hotel, there are... Yes it may be a little on the small side and yes it might be a little noisy but you're paying a decent price to be in the heart of London (I'm sorry to say but it is noisy in a major city center) Really nicely decorated and friendly staff. I had a lovely stay and would recommend!

We stayed here as we were attending a graduation the Royal Albert Hall, and it is only a 10 minutes walk. Would be a good location for tourists who want to check out the museums around South Ken also. Sadly though, the location was pretty much the only good thing about it. As the hotel is right on the corner... More

I'm not sure I can say much more to be honest. Maybe okay for a leisure stay if you're just using it to crash after a night out. Don't expect much sleep with the road noise. Reasonably clean and tidy but don't be fooled, this is a shoebox. Similar to other reviews, step outside for a nice breakfast at one... More

Good location but that's about it👎 room was extremely small and the traffic noise goes on most of the night! We booked this hotel as going to Royal Albert Hall, booked quite late and didn't really do our research. Functional but that's about the best I can say.

Good location, close to tube stations and museums, and was convenient for our concert at the Royal Albert Hall (10 minute walk), however, we would not recommend it. Bedroom was a super-small cell with double bed right up against the wall so one had to climb over another to get out! Bathroom was OK - clean. Again, tiny with the... More

Stayed here with my Nan for a two day trip. I had sent a request previously via email to say if we could have a front facing room as it was my Nans 70th birthday. I never received a reply. The lift was broken for the full two days which was a nightmare as my nan struggled to get up... More

Good location and very near Gloucester Rd tube. Rooms are very small but clean and functional with basic facilities.Public areas are ok but hallways and stairs a little tired looking . Overall a reasonable budget hotel and cheaper than most comparable hotels in the area

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
