Wealth courses through The King's Road, Chelsea's upmarket artery of West London life packed with shops, eateries and glitzy nightspots. For people-watching at its best and luxury retail therapy that's largely unrivalled, this area cannot be missed. But if this showy street starts to overwhelm or a moment of price tag shock sends you reeling, a quick detour down pretty much any of many King's Road veins will reveal a quieter side of Chelsea. Here the stately Royal Hospital hosts its world-famous flower show, and the Thames rolls along at a lazy pace, with leafy Battersea Park and its Peace Pagoda beckoning from across the river.

Stayed at the hotel for 3 days with 2 kids. High quality new hotel with excellent location. On many newly opened hotels, staff often fail to be 100% up and running, leading to long waiting times and small mistakes. That’s not the case here. Everything from booking to check-out

The hotel is in a lovely upmarket part of London. As you walk through the doors, passing impeccably dressed doormen, you are wowed by the grand interior. Stunning plaster cornices and ceiling roses. Beautiful furnishings, amazing wooden staircase and the floor, wow, gorgeous.

Our stay at the Belmond was amazing. The hotel was recently renovated and its beautiful. The rooms are big. And very high tech. The staff were so helpful. It’s near 2 metro stations and across the street is the bus station. I would highly recommend this hotel.

I was lucky enough to stay at The Belmond Cadogan on Mothers Day and it was a real treat. It hasn't been open long so was very shiny and new. We had a wonderful stay and the gardens were a special treat along with a lovely meal in the Adam Handling restaurant. The one thing

Had a meeting and breakfast here - contrary to another report below, the breakfast was first-class. I ordered just what I wanted and it arrived within 7 minutes, exactly meeting my requirements and cooked to perfection. I much prefer a smaller, more intimate hotel, and this
