This has to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The photos are completely misleading, the hotel does not look like that at all! Our room slept three people, three single pull out camping style beds would best describe them. If you are squeamish don't look under the covers, the mattress was DISGUSTING! The windows were caked in... More

The hotel was booked as part of a package. It was easy to find and a short walk from the tube station. Tucked away in a square it is in a quiet area. The reception staff were friendly an welcoming although for some reason the needed a£1 deposit on a bank card! Our double bedroom was on the top floor... More

Front of house looks modern with professional reception staff too. In fact whilst speaking of the staff I'd say that they are a good team and we felt welcome. The housekeeping staff were extremely kind and helpful. Once you ventured out of the reception area the reason for the low price becomes apparent with very tired and quite scruffy decor.... More

We originally booked with the Craven hotel, but it turned out that our room was being renovated, so we were driven free of charge to Bayswater Inn, which turned out to be an upgrade (of course we never saw the inside of our Craven room, but judging from the pictures it would have been smaller at least). The check in... More

A pleasant single Saturday night stay on July 16th 2016. The staff were friendly enough. The room, although quite small, was more than adequate. We were probably lucky as our room (308) seemed to have been recently decorated. The small shower room was spotlessly clean. Tea & coffee making facilities good. Breakfast was fine - a bit chaotic but quite... More

London house looks lovely as you walk into the foyer, but it all gets a little ropy after that. First you are, sort of, greeted by the front desk staff, who while not exactly rude, are not really very friendly either, a simple smile would not kill anybody. Anyway, on to the room, our room was a 'double' but very... More

If you just need somewhere to sleep to explore the surrounding area (Nooting Hill, Kensington Gardens and Palace, Regents Park, London zoo) then this hotel fits the bill. Staff did their job. Breakfast was terrible. Good bathroom, but you cannot swing a cat in the room.

Breakfast is rubbish. Hardly any plates or knives/forks. Not a lot of food for amount of people that stay. Struggled to get table with enough chairs. Staff aren't very helpful, some find difficult to understand English let alone speak any. The rooms are shocking nothing like photos. Curtain hanging off, damp in room, all fouR walls different colours! The main... More

We stayed over 1 night for a concert at Hyde Park. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Although we couldn't check-in early we could us the toilet in reception. Its close to lots of tube stations and a nice safe area but still a good 20/30 minute walk from Hyde Park. Room was huge (two rooms together which we... More

I only needed a place to sleep and store my luggage as I spent most my time exploring. If you intend to spend a lot of time in your room then perhaps you need to get a double or larger room as a single might be too small for you. The bathroom was surprisingly modern and clean. The included breakfast... More

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
