Dear 'Slavko K' Thank you for giving us 'top marks' on trip advisor and for recommending us to others, we're extremely grateful! I hope you had some time during your business trip to take in the sights of London and that we can remain a preferred hotel for when you next return! If there had been any particular members of...

We went out on Sunday for the day and returned to find 1 of the rooms not cleaned and cleared as usual. We rang reception and was told it would be sorted. We went out and returned at 9pm to find nothing done. We spoke to the desk again and then had to go see them as nothing had still...

Dear 'Kerry R' We're so sorry you experienced a delay in somebody visiting this room and for the inconsistencies you had faced when needing to chase our team for an update, as well as a lack of items in the room. We have reached out to you via email and hope there will be an opportunity to welcome you back...

I stay at this hotel about twice per year. What I like about it is the consistency I get on my stays. The staff are efficient and friendly. The ground floor bar is consistent and has a shelf of salads and sandwiches that you can buy and take to your room, with drinks. Reasonably priced and nice if you don't...

Staff very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The room was clean, airy and comfortable and had catered for every need. The food was very good although there was not much of a choice on the menu for evening meal, that was the only one small complaint I would have. However, breakfast was very wide in choice and excellent. Would definitely stay...

It is a a lovely hotel. Staff very helpful, room was big enough and very clean. The hotel is situated very close to the underground station and it is really close to Oxford Street. The bar in the roof was lovely and the service great.

This Doubletree is a relatively new hotel located near the Tower of London and the City -- so it seems to be quite conveniently located for both business travelers and folks on vacation. The hotel is clean, modern and comfortable. The morning buffet breakfast -- included with Executive rooms -- is very good. And the cookies that they hand out...

Dear 'VikBrooklyn' Thank you for your review! We are indeed quite new, the hotel first opened in 2010 and we've already added certain enhancements to our lobby, guest room corridors and Skylounge since that time. I'm delighted we appealed to you, and you found our DoubleTree Cookies to be tasty! We hope there will be an opportunity to welcome you...

A clean and comfortable hotel in a good location for visiting the Tower of London. The only negative was the layout of the breakfast buffet which seemed to cause queues for food out of the restaurant door! Not a good experience.

Dear 'Linda N' I'm really sorry your breakfast experience had been marred in this way, and to make amends please contact me for us to arrange a complimentary 2 course meal in City Cafe for you and a guest. Everything about this hotel was fantastic, with the staff going out of their way to make us feel valued and welcome without any of the "hava nice day" cheesiness. Much better than Double Trees in USA. Having someone outside to help with luggage would be a significant improvement (for all Double Trees). Excellent location near Tower Bridge. Many restaurants and bars including underground within 300 ft.

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
