So the hotel reception area is nice enough and the staff were friendly. However I was a little disappointed with the rooms. They were quite small and had some 70s style design. I mean they weren’t the worst but just not what I expected. The breakfast was awesome although they should have grilled tomatoes. The roof bar was amazing though. One of the best I ever been too. Highly recommend venturing up there for fabulous cocktails and one of the best views of london ever.

Hotel's Favorite
Normally stay in the West End but we thought we would try the city for a change bank holiday weekend. This hotel is perfectly located round the corner from the tube. There is SO much nearby to do and Tower Bridge is so close. St Katherines Dock is worth a mention - we only discovered all it had to offer on the morning we were leaving! Check in was simple and quick - some hotels really drag this out!! Room was perfect for us and immaculate. Plenty of shower gel thank goodness, many hotels skimp on it but there was a big dispenser in the shower. The hot drinks were not replenished nor were our dirty glasses changed on our first day of housekeeping but other than that I have to say that we were very happy Only other gripe was the TV kept freezing/stopping, but in their defence we didn't report it because it was the evening and we were literally in bed! Worth mentioning the decent size fridge, housed my wine and the husbands cans of lager very adequately! I used the fitness room while I was there, it is very adequately kitted out with weights and machines, there are towels and bottles of water also (and cleaning supplies/anti bacterial). We would definitely go back!!

The hotel was lovely and in a convenient location. Room was clean and was available early to check in. Only downside of stay is I have been charged £77 in the lobby bar which I never used. I have emailed and tried to contact the hotel directly but no one has responded.

One of the better budget hotels I’ve stayed in in London. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Got a deluxe room which was a good size. Went to Natural Kitchen for drinks and breakfast, which is attached to the hotel and it’s really good! The Mai Tais are amazing! I thought breakfast was better value than in the hotel. The Savage Garden sky bar was really nice too and had some great views of The Shard and Tower Bridge. Only criticism was there was a bit of a queue for check in at 3pm and the hotel needs a refurb. Furniture in the lobby is looking really shabby and tired.

We stayed for two nights in early January and on arrival we were informed as HH Diamond members we were recognised and received a room upgrade to an executive room. We had access to the executive lounge who serve a limited selection (beer, wines, Prosecco) and canapés in the evening, however snacks were replenished slowly when we were there. There was no other food being served in the restaurants/bars across the hotel including room service during our stay which was disappointing. We did however have a great time in the Savage Garden bar which has amazing cocktails and views! We opted to skip the room being cleaned during our stay for credit in the lobby bar for £10 which we thought was a great option to have, and we could still request clean towels/toiletries. It was value for money considering the location, hopefully when we next visit some of the other amenities will be available.

Dear HMSreview, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us following your recent two night stay. I was delighted to learn that you had a comfortable stay with us and that the team treated you well as one of our most loyal members. However I must apologise for any miscommunication with regards to our offerings. Whilst we are not currently offering room service, we do have a restaurant called Natural Kitchen located adjacent to the hotel with direct access from our lobby which is open 8am to 11pm Monday to Friday, and at weekends 9am to 10pm as per their website. I have spoken with reception to ensure that they are properly communicated the available services to our guests. The team and I are so pleased to learn that we will hopefully have the pleasure of welcoming you back in the future! Kind regards, Bernadette Gilligan General Manager
