Location of the hotel is great, tucked away down a side street, so not at all noisy and close enough to the Tube. And for a central London Hotel for a Saturday was great value for money. However while the reception area was well designed, light and airy, the rest of the hotel felt drab, dreary and dated – brown and beige is not a very welcoming / inspiring colour combination. The room itself was of a reasonable size but nothing out of the ordinary, but the bathroom did feel somewhat squeezed in. Everything was clean, but for me the bed was just too hard to get a good night’s sleep. Also the curtains did not cover the window entirely, so was left with a shaft of light beaming into the room from an exterior light, plus the room control panel let of a blue glow. Also did not get the standard cookie upon check in, am guessing due to COVID, although why handing out a cookie is any different to handing out a key card I have no idea. As of others have mentioned the two person per lift limitation led to long queues causing the Reception Manager to intervene and to lead us up a stair well behind the reception – OK if you are on the second floor but not otherwise I would think! Overall an OK stay, just don’t expect any wow factor

Strangely lacking in atmosphere, despite the music and the view. Very diverse clientele. Noisy with rather garish decor. Not a relaxing place and for me, not a place in which to linger. Bar staff were a little off-hand. The hotel is odd too- there is a vagueness among the staff snd a sense of the desultory which might well be result of the pandemic, but many other places do not exhibit this, despite being in the same boat.

We booked this hotel initially for the location as we would not be spending much time in the room. The hotel was ideally located 2 mins from tower hill station, the beds were comfy, the room clean with all the amenities you would need and the wifi was spot on. All the staff we spoke to were lovely and we were able to leave our bags at check out and pick them up later that day. Cant ask for much more. Would stay again!

Room - 8/10 Good size. Got the basics. Safe didn’t work, but not an issue for the one night in our own country. Quiet and good blackout curtains. Bathroom - 8/10. Beds - 10/10 Very comfy. WiFi - 10/10 Faultless! Buffet Breakfast - 9/10 Semi Covid lockdown, so food was served/handed to you, but all done very well. Good choice. Staff - 10/10 ALL staff were friendly and helpful. ALL abided by Covid regs. Hotel - 8/10 Clean and good location. Only frustration was that due to Covid rules in the lifts (only 2 people) we tried using the stairs, but these were only emergency exit stairs and despite trying different stairs/routes, only once did we get out at the other end! Bar - 6/10. Asked for a cocktail menu, but they didn’t have one. Bought two drinks and were told they’d be brought over. Emptyish bar and 10 minutes later, nothing had arrived. Turns out they’d forgotten - despite the service charge and nothing else to do. Complimentary apology drink did follow… No real issues with the hotel, but would probably stay somewhere different if we stayed in London again.

Beautiful hotel, very very clean and definitely covid safe. Stayed here last night with my fiancé as part of my birthday and cannot fault it at all, any member of team we spoke to were very polite and helpful. Thank you again to all the staff with big thanks to the cleaning team for keeping my mind at ease due to covid.
