Received an email from the hotel stating they are closing down and they would be issuing me a refund. This email came less than two weeks before I was set to arrive. Now I have to spend more than double my budget to book something else last minute! On top of that they tell me the refund could take 14 business days to be credited to my account. Horrible customer experience if they do reopen stay away!
Turned up on Saturday 3rd February to discover from the chap in the reception that the hotel was closed for the week. Told that they had emailed everybody to advise them. Well obviously I never got that email otherwise I wouldn’t have wasted my time turning up!!! Was promised that if I went and booked somewhere else that the owner would cover the cost. I’ve yet to hear from anybody. Was given the card for the hotel on the Saturday and told to call or email. Well the phone number doesn’t work any longer and emails bounce back. Popped back in on Sunday and was again told, this time by Andrea, that the new owner would cover the cost of our other hotel which we had to try and book on the same day at 3pm in central London!!! She gave us an email address which I’ve emailed twice and still no response. Completely not acceptable. Advise everybody, if this hotel reopens, to give it a massive wide berth. They cannot be trusted!!! I don’t think I’ll be seeing the refund I was promised twice. And I don’t think they should receive anybody else’s money. …
Second visit, bit more expensive this time. In theory, a superior room that was higher up the pecking order than the post supper room, but don't think there was much in it for the extra price. However, comfortable facilities & feels secure. Good continental breakfast the next morning. Staff were helpful when required
We chose this hotel because of its close proximity to The Queens Theatre where we had booked to see Les Miserables. It wa s less than a 5 minutes walk away. It’s right by China Town with a great choice of restaurants. Check in was good, staff are friendly. The room was very clean and was bright and airy. We were on the 3rd floor and outside noise was not a problem for us. You are right in the centre so there is bound to be some street noise but the windows are decent. I loved that they opened to let in fresh air. Breakfast included in the price was continental which was more than adequate and cooked options were available for an extra fee. They happily stored our luggage for us the next day whilst we went shopping.
OUTRAGEOUS! That is the only word i have to describe this establishment. my partner, his family and i paid for their parents to go to London for the weekend to watch a show and go to stay at this hotel. When they got there, what they found was not to an adequate standard! The hotel was extremely difficult to find, and when they did find it, someone was asleep in the door way. They walked in to a poorly lit corridor which wasn't inviting at all!! They were greeted by a very unsocial woman at reception who explained to them that there room wasn't ready yet even though they were there at check in time. So they had to leave their cases there and come back for them later. When getting back to the room at gone 5pm they were then greeted by a gentleman who was disgustingly unhelpful... They asked about the restaurant and he simply said "over there" and pointed but not mentioning where the door was as it blends in with the wall. They had to ask again and he was still unhelpful, so they went and found it themselves. The man then carried on, on his computer at reception but hadn't told my partners parents where to go to get to their room so they had to ask AGAIN. He then pointed to the lift behind him. When getting to the room all they could see when they walked in was a bath right next to their bed.. what hotel has a bath next to a bed?! it should be in a separate room like any other NORMAL establishment. There was only one small window which was incredibly hard to open, but when opened all that could be smelt with grease and cooking from the restaurants below. The bed and pillows were like cement! And to top it all off the heating wasn't working and made rattling sounds so the room was freezing cold and reception had to bring a heater up. There was no bar in the hotel even though the website advertises one and everything was incredibly small and poor. The only thing good about the hotel was the breakfast and the cleanliness of the room... but even then they were having breakfast and a woman who didn't speak one word kept filling drinks right to the brim on the glass so you couldn't pick them up to drink the drink... I would never recommend this place to anyone. It has massive false advertisement and is not worth the money we paid. The pictures on the website look nothing like the real thing. If i was there then i would have demanded a full refund. I am angry, disgusted and appalled by this place and the experience my partners parents had to experience... DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE WEBSITE. IT'S A HUGE CON.…
