My wife booked through Groupon and had to upgrade as there were no rooms available on the offer advertised. Funny that, considering we only encountered two other couples and we were the only couple having an 8.15 breakfast. That aside. The location was perfect for what we wanted. Stayed on Saturday night to go to the theatre in the Strand.... More

This hotel is slap bang in the middle of everything. Right on Leicester Square and a short walk from Piccadilly, Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden. So perfect for site seeing. Outside the hotel is buzzing and it buzzes 24 hours a day. So if your looking for peace, tranquility and rest, this isn't the place. The streets are very noisy and... More

Booked this via a groupon voucher and paid for superior room. There is nothing good I can say about anything the room was so bad we didn't even unpack. Basically a bed and a tv and our supposed superior room was equipped for disabled so bathroom was a wet room with a ratty curtain round a shower head which had... More

We booked this hotel through Groupon for a one night stay for a weekend in London. On booking the hotel emailed to say the deal was only on the standard rooms and there were none available so we would have to upgrade to a 'superior' room which for an additional £40 included breakfast so fair enough, we thought. On arrival,... More

As everyone has pointed out, this hotel’s selling point is its superb location, close to absolutely everything in Central London but tucked away enough in Lisle Street to give a degree of quiet. Rooms were nicely appointed and had a certain boutique feel about them. Very nice toiletries, room safe, good bath and shower and good quality furniture. The room... More

When a hotel is slap bang in the middle of a tourist area it becomes hard to review, price is based on location instead of quality. However, we upgraded to a 'Superior Room' this was very small with a seperate bathroom (including bath), toileteries included. Very clean, a comfy bed and tea/coffee making facilities. Had to ask for cups to... More

I booked through lastminute and at £180!ish this is very good value for money for a hotel in this location. It is right in the heart of Leicester Square and backs onto China Town. There was a slightly frustrating check-in process that was slow and disorganised however it was clear the lady in reception was new and being trained up... More

Leicester House has a fabulous location in the heart of Chinatown and has recently been refurbished, with the restaurant being closed whilst we stayed. We stayed for one night, having found a night there for £170, without breakfast,on a website specialising in late deals and where it was listed as a top secret hotel with a glowing description. The hotel... More

Well, this was a wee find. Located just off Leicester Square, near the hustle and bustle. Lovely small hotel with friendly staff. Room was great, superior room with King Size bed. Large bathroom and it was so quiet! I couldn't believe how quiet it was considering what was going on just round the corner! Lovely continental breakfast included and L'Occitane... More

Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
