We were positively surprised. This is better in real than in photos. Excellent location, a few minutes from the tube, museums, Harrods, lovely restaurants. No street noise, a huge room (if u compare to an average UK hotel room), fresh & modern bathroom with a shower and a bath, nice breakfast and lovely staff. Good daily cleaning too! We would...

Room was very clean and quiet. Staff couldn't have been nicer and were very helpful. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were fluffy and soft which was nice to come back to after my long days in London. It's in a great location - about a 5 min walk from the tube station plus bus stations right outside the...

Nice hotel, large room, excellent breakfast, and very friendly staff. Location, just opposite the V&A, couldn't be better... The reception-staff is top and very helpfull. The only thing is the cleaning(?)-smell in the room.... Very old-fashioned English style, but in fact quite modern and confortable!

We were only able to stay here for one night as a treat for OH's birthday but enjoyed our stay. As others have said, we were allowed to have our room before the stated time. It may not have been much before then but we appreciated the gesture. On arrival to our room, we were delighted to find that we'd...

Myself & a friend visited the hotel in March 2017. We booked in a package holiday with British Airways Holidays. We found the hotel easy enough from the tube. Location-wise it was excellent, Harrods is further on down the street. Upon arrival we were greeted via friendly staff. We were too early for the 2pm check-in so we left our...

We have returned again to the Rembrandt,(our 4th visit); as before we had a good time. The staff continue to be efficient, courteous and friendly. Our room this time was on the 4th floor (467). It was spacious with views over the London houses. The room was well prepared and super clean, even though we arrived early. The reception staff...

Dear pops073 Thank you for reviewing the hotel following your recent two night break, although I am disappointed that we failed to meet our usually high standards. Over the weekend the hotel did play host to two private functions on Saturday evening, however, an area is always available for guests who wish to dine at the hotel, over the weekend...

Me and my friend stayed here when we visited London to watch Arsenal play and we had a great stay and experience here! Great location of the Royal Museum and walking distance to the tube and also Harrods for those looking to go there.

Booked Afternoon Tea for Saturday 11th March. Turned up on time at 2:30pm. Champagne served relatively quickly, then, after waiting a further 30 minutes, had to chase one (of the two) serving staff to ask where our food was. After another 10 minutes we were served a pretty sorry-looking effort, with four slabs of cake cut from a much larger...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
