Travelers' Choice
A favourite of independent business and leisure travellers from all over the world, this 4-star hotel gets the details right: complimentary WiFi, free English breakfast, a popular lounge bar and restaurant, and discounted use of the adjacent spa and swimming pool at Aquilla Health and Fitness Club. The Rembrandt's beautifully modernised Edwardian rooms were originally apartments for Harrods. The building itself dates from 1911, and was one of the first steel and concrete structures in the UK. All 194 rooms and suites are smartly designed to feel both spacious and cosy, with high technology including flat-screen TVs, free WiFi and free local calls. WiFi is also free in public areas. All guests enjoy a free full English breakfast buffet, included in the room rate. Palette Restaurant serves seasonal British and international cuisine at lunchtimes, including a traditional carvery most days and always on Sundays. In the evenings, you can dine in the stylish Conservatory Bar, or sip a cocktail in 1606 Lounge Bar. And what better way to celebrate your visit to London than with a traditional Afternoon Tea, complete with finger sandwiches and fresh scones with clotted cream? The Rembrandt Hotel places you directly across from London's Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A), within a 10-minute walk of the Natural History Museum, Science Museum, Hyde Park, Harrods and the Royal Albert Hall. The location is superb – surrounded by restaurants, bars, shops and cultural attractions. You can stroll to South Kensington underground station in five minutes. From here, District, Circle and Piccadilly Tube lines take you straight to the City of London, Heathrow Airport and mainline train stations including Paddington and Victoria.

Had a great 1 night stay in The Rembrandt as part of their Sleep Out to Help Out Scheme. Dinner and breakfast was delicious with excellent service from very kind members of staff. The room was lovely and clean - only downside was the noisy AC, but apart from that was a great evening. Everywhere inside the hotel very well organised and COVID safe.

This hotel should be a three-star at best, not a four star. The rooms are dated with very noisy AC. The food is mediocre. Some members of staff lack etiquette and are quite rude. The only positive is the location.

Dear pt73nt6 Thank you for taking the time to review the hotel, following your recent stay. It is always disappointing to receive negative feedback and I am sorry that we failed to meet your expectations. The hotel is annually inspected and once again we have retained our four star rating. I am pleased that you enjoyed our location, directly opposite the V&A, close to Harrods and Hyde Park. Thank you for sharing your experience, although of course I am sorry that it was not a more positive one. Kind regards Lesley Denyer Customer Service Manager

The Rembrandt is in a great location for Harrods and Harvey Nichols. It’s also near Chelsea and Sloane Square. We did so much walking, enjoying the beautiful houses and the fabulous cars driving about! Bedroom was comfy though cars traffic was a little noisy at night time. Staff are attentive and the food delicious. Would definitely stay again. Covid safe too!!

Very impressed with this hotel, not far from Harrods and Hyde Park which were just a short stroll away. We had a lovely King Executive Room with a balcony, bright and airy. The bed was so comfortable and the pillows were a dream (I’ve made a note of the manufacturer!) The hotel had only just opened and is being run very well adhering to COVID rules, so we felt safe and comfortable. Breakfast was served to your table and was very good. All Staff friendly and helpful. Good functional hotel, not like the Ritz but it served its purpose for us. We had a delightful stay. Would definitely recommend and stay in future.

Then this probably deserves the name Rembrandt! The room had a lovely design with lime green walls and darker green in other parts and also had nice stripey carpets! The room also had a lovely balcony overlooking the street! Although it was on first floor it had double windows that only opened so far for good security! The room no was in lights outside it and the 'clean my room now' sign could be slotted into the card slot outside door so couldn't fall out! They also observed SD rules but still gave good service! Just a pity their health club was shut so I couldn't use the gym!
