Travelers' Choice
A favourite of independent business and leisure travellers from all over the world, this 4-star hotel gets the details right: complimentary WiFi, free English breakfast, a popular lounge bar and restaurant, and discounted use of the adjacent spa and swimming pool at Aquilla Health and Fitness Club. The Rembrandt's beautifully modernised Edwardian rooms were originally apartments for Harrods. The building itself dates from 1911, and was one of the first steel and concrete structures in the UK. All 194 rooms and suites are smartly designed to feel both spacious and cosy, with high technology including flat-screen TVs, free WiFi and free local calls. WiFi is also free in public areas. All guests enjoy a free full English breakfast buffet, included in the room rate. Palette Restaurant serves seasonal British and international cuisine at lunchtimes, including a traditional carvery most days and always on Sundays. In the evenings, you can dine in the stylish Conservatory Bar, or sip a cocktail in 1606 Lounge Bar. And what better way to celebrate your visit to London than with a traditional Afternoon Tea, complete with finger sandwiches and fresh scones with clotted cream? The Rembrandt Hotel places you directly across from London's Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A), within a 10-minute walk of the Natural History Museum, Science Museum, Hyde Park, Harrods and the Royal Albert Hall. The location is superb – surrounded by restaurants, bars, shops and cultural attractions. You can stroll to South Kensington underground station in five minutes. From here, District, Circle and Piccadilly Tube lines take you straight to the City of London, Heathrow Airport and mainline train stations including Paddington and Victoria.

My partner Hillary and I had the pleasure of a 3 night stay at this wonderful hotel for my 60th birthday. From our greeting on arrival to collecting our cases to leave, the whole time was simply fantastic. The staff were all extremely pleasant and helpful, the room slightly small but more than adequate. The bed was a tad too soft for us, and the quilt did weigh a ton, but we slept ok. The breakfast each morning set us up for the day served by a very happy chef. We had a lovely bar snack meal on the middle night which was great. Overall we would be more than happy to stay again.

We have stayed at ‘The Rembrandt Hotel’ over a dozen times, it holds very special memories for us. I always request a room at the front, a bit noisy from traffic but a fabulous view of the V&A. The hotel is always spotless and the breakfast delicious. The staff efficient and friendly, working hard with limited staff through this pandemic. What I like most about The Rembrandt is it’s small enough to get the personal touch but keeping the class of a 4* hotel. Thank you for an amazing stay - we will be back.

Staff very efficient and helpful at this hotel which is directly opposite V&A. Rooms at the back, of which there are many, are quiet whereas a lot of traffic noise in the front. Breakfast served very efficiently with good procedures in place for distancing. Look out for money saving deals.

Dear 37emyrw Thank you for taking the time to review The Rembrandt following your recent stay. I am delighted that we provided quiet accommodation, in a great location, with efficient, helpful service. Rooms at the back of the hotel, are predominantly quieter as they overlook a quiet residential area, however, rooms at the front of the hotel benefit from stunning views of the V&A. I am pleased that you appreciated the measures that we have implemented due to current government restrictions, the safety of our guests and staff is of paramount importance. Our best most competitive rates, will always be available directly on our company website, so it is always worth booking directly with us. Thank you again for taking the time to share your positive feedback. We hope that you will consider returning to us on a future visit to London. Kind regards Lesley Denyer Customer Service Manager
