The room was a good size and had a nice sash window. The location of the hotel was ideal. While the sheets were clean, the rest wasn't. The light switch in the bathroom was covered in brown stains as were the telephone and the sockets. The shower tray filled up with water and the temperature fluctuated from scalding to cold,... There was a change in the number of travelers we ended up having and an abrupt change in lodging reservations had to be made; going strictly off of feedback online coupled with availability and cost, I chose Stanley House. I’ve been fortunate over the years to leverage Trip Advisor and other forums to identify and obtain decent lodging; however, I... More

Stayed here for the weekend.. got a twin room which was very small. The bathroom was small and I could only just fit in the shower and I'm a slim person.. The walls are paper thin. I could here the conversation of the people in the next room. The walls were damp throughout the landing and outside my room. When... More

In London a Central location is key and this hotel offers that, just a couple blocks from Victoria Train/rail station it's Located in a premium area., the hotel itself is average at best., it needs some attention, specially the carpets , my room was small and facing the street and with a private bathroom for the price was ok, but... Ok, first of all, don't get me wrong - The Stanley was not a terrible place, one night, as an emergency stop over is fine - but no more. Room - clean looking, I was bitten like crazy by bed bugs! Bathroom - waaaaay to small, there is a notice asking to keep the shower door closed while using it,... More

We stayed here for one night in June after going to see Coldplay at Wembley. Easy to get to from Victoria station, perfect location in fact. Lots of steps to the rooms, keeps you fit. The only good thing about the breakfast was the toast, everything else was cold.

It's fine for a cheap overnight stay. Small rooms with bobbly sheets and non existent pillows. Breakfast was nice but difficult to understand the staff serving you. It is what you expect for so cheap so don't expect much!

Staying in Pimlico

Neighborhood Profile
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighborhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
