Visited with my wife over a bank holiday weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our stay, our room was small but clean and was re cleaned and fresh towels when you asked. Location for Borough market, bars and the tube were excellent and all the staff especially Antonio at breakfast were very helpful and friendly.

Very nice stay with lovely staff, very good breakfast. Easy location to walk around the city. Would stay here again without doubt. The rooms were very comfortable and good beds to fall into after a long day walking around the city. We kept our bags at the front desk after check out which was a great help too

I stayed with my husband and my children. We stayed over the bank holiday weekend and ended up staying an extra night. Lovely big room, suited all our needs. Staff were amazing with us especially the receptionists. Long queue at breakfast but I totally understand as they were following strict covid guidelines (which I didn’t mind at all). All staff we trying there hardest and were polite. I would highly recommend this hotel, we had a pleasant stay and would recommend to our family and friends!

I spent a very pleasant four nights at the Mercure London Bridge. The staff were very welcoming and very helpful. There was a small issue with the tv in my room which they fixed extremely promptly. Everything at the hotel is covid compliant and everything felt sparkling clean. My room was spacious with an excellent shower. It was on the street, but the double glazing was excellent, so it was totally quiet. T he hotel is really well located for a trip to London, very near Tate Modern and the South Bank in one direction, Borough Market and the Tower of London in the other direction. There's also a bus stop just outside and it's a very short walk to Southwark tub station. Lots of places to eat nearby, the excellent Table for breakfast (very popular on the weekends), Gails for breakfasts and snacks, and a really nice little Italian restaurant (Capricci - it looks like a bar, but excellent food and great wines). I will be back soon!

There certainly isn't a shortage of hotels in the London Bridge/Blackfriars area, even within the Accor brand itself. So, when I arrived at this Mercure hotel, I was initially quite impressed, as the lobby and bar area looked to be very well designed and classy. The man who checked us in though was at best apathetic and there was clearly some sort of miscommunication on the booking as he had the cheek to ask if I wanted to pay for breakfast (which was included- this wasn't the first time I'd be asked this either). The room was weirdly small for what was supposedly an "executive privilege", in fact I'm not sure if this was even supposed to be one! The desk clearly hadn't been cleaned as there were various sticky looking stains on it, with the fridge being empty too (no "complimentary soft drinks" then!) What genuinely saves this from being a scathing review from top to bottom is the excellent location, the bed itself (no different to other Mercure hotels, mind you) and the restaurant staff, particularly the very chirpy chef at breakfast. It was also good to see the breakfast offering move more towards a pre-COVID selection with hot food being available. This isn't a cheap hotel by any stretch of the imagination, but as a Gold member of Accor, I would encourage this hotel to look at the Novotel around the corner on how to run a £100+ per night establishment in the London Bridge area. I certainly wouldn't bother returning to this Mercure again unless there was some sort of major change.
