Stayed in the hotel for 3 nights on a leisure trup to London. The hotel is in close proximity to the tube and has lots of restaurants surrounding it. Oxford Street is closely located The room size is very small for the single room and the facilites in the hotel are pretty basic. However , the staff is very courteous... More

This was our second stay in this hotel. First time I posted a very good feedback with promise we will return. So we did, but concerning the second stay I am not going to be so positive, because we had probably the smallest roon on the ground floor next to the stairs with view into the wall. Even the double... More

The neighborhood has lots of restaurants and shops within steps of the hotel. The building is over 200 years old and is not a fancy dancy hotel and you should... More

For value for money with budget accommodation the Shakespeare ticks all the right boxes. On arrival check in was quick and easy I got to my room on the fourth floor and it's a fair stair climb! I think it would be easier to climb Everest and that's the only reason for loosing a star. My room was small but... More

I stayed here for 1 night as a stop between flights and I have to say its the worst hotel I've ever stayed at (and I've stayed in some crappy places). When I first arrived I was told that my room was on the fourth floor and there were no lifts - which is fine! - but walking up the... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The perfect place to stay during your visit in London. Very nice neighborhood, a personal favourite, with nice cafes and restaurants. A very nice walk to Hyde Park is recommended or to Oxford Street for those shopping lovers, both are walking distance away. Rooms have been upgraded and there is always someone to help.
