Stayed one night in room 3 it was small and dirty. The toilets where unclean. The tiles in the toilet where raised and unclean. Didn't have a shower as we felt we where cleaner than the shower. No fridge or telephone as in brochure. Trains all night but you could put up with that The brochure shows a really nice...

Recently stayed at the Hallam Hotel, and after reading the not so great reviews we were a bit hesitant about our stay. However, on arrival we found that the twin room we were allocated was more than adequate for a single night's stay. The room was spacious and we barely noticed the noise from the underground. The room was ensuite,...

Exterior of hotel and reception looked ok. Location was good. That's about as good as it got. Room 3 - very dated, small, in need of decoration. Cleanest thing in the bathroom was the shower curtain, Tiles were cracked, odd, missing - needs full re-tile. The tube service was audible during the night. Could only open the one window in...

Booked via booking.com. I was attending an event in Oxford Street and needed accommodation for one night in the area. The Hallam Hotel came up as the cheapest option for a single traveller. Check in was fine and bedroom not enormous but functional and clean. The whole hotel is a little dated but for such a central location (behind BBC broadcasting...

On arrival I was impressed by the exterior of the building and carried my suitcase up to reception. A very unfriendly man begrudgingly gave me my key and explained where the lift was. He did not offer to help me with my luggage. The lift was archaic and very difficult to use when you have bags and cases. I was...

Reception... leather seats ripped. Looks scruffy. One gentleman on reception, happy and cheerful. Allocated room 4 on ground floor. Twin room, beds comfortable, only one pillow on...

Very basic, but great location for shopping or the conference I was attending. Cooked breakfast is included and the price was the cheapest I have ever found for such a location, so close to Regents street and Oxford street

Have to say i enjoyed my stay in the hotel. Staff were helpful. Our twin room was big and clean. With ensuite. We stayed for three nights and was a great location. Had breakfast one morning and it was fine. Did the job! Would stay here again no bother.

I wanted to give this hotel the benefit of the doubt but concur with most reviews. Good central location and includes breakfast in rate. My single room was adequate although the en suite looked in mid decoration and supplied one small sachet of shower gel. Shower did also not work properly. I had to ask for wifi which worked in...

Very Basic Booked though booking.com looked a lot better on website, wish I had read some of the reviews on this site first because I don't think I would have booked if I had. Don't get me wrong the place is in a good location and bed sheets clean and staff on desk were friendly people, I payed for breakfast...
