Small rooms with three beds or more! Crowded and very frustrating. Had to place a chair in the closet to get access to floor space, no sockets!! No food to find except the not to great breakfast. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

My room had no bathroom even though my booking said I did, they said they had wifi - they didn't. Room was very cold, hotel is completely outdated and staff weren't very helpful. TV hardly worked too.

Guys, don't waste your energy and precious money, this is probably the first time I decided to WARN my fellow travelers and ask them to AVOID as much as possible this place. The service is below terrible standards, the receptionist was too busy chating on the phone to even make eye contact upon our arrival. Not only he was rude...

Booked this hotel for a 2 night stay in London to go to a show. The outside of the hotel is lovely and the street it's on is very traditional. Unfortunately the inside doesn't match this exterior. It's quite dated and staff aren't very engaging. Our room was a twin room on the top floor and was very tiny, there...

The hotel is somewhat rundown and old but makes up for it with price and location. Had a perfect stay here allowing us to meet friends easily and get around London. The room was warm and comfortable. Wi-Fi is only at reception unfortunately. Breakfast was included and basic but adequate

Stayed here for a concert at 229 The Venue, very close by which was convenient for the concert. Staff were lovely, especially the receptionist when we messed up who'd booked the room but managed to get it sorted quickly and with no problem. Bed was a decent size and very comfortable. Outside noise was quite loud but we expected that...

I often book hotels that are not so fancy. That is perhaps the best way to really appreciate the good hotel you book the next day. But this time I took it too far. The name of this hotel is OK, the location and the look of it from outside is also Ok. But... Well a picture says more that...

Called the hotel and wanted to change our three day stay from 21-24/4, Friday-Monday to 23-26/4, Sunday-Wednesday. We suddenly had a funeral to attend on Friday. The woman I spoke to said that I had to call hotels.com and so I did. They said it was up to the hotel to change our booking. I also emailed the hotel twice...

Very very small room, moderately clean definitely not spotless. Breakfast was good and simple -continental style but you need to reserve your time to eat the night before. It was close to attractions and restaurants and the tube station. I wouldn't stay again though. Good for near sites and cheap stay.

Well, the thing that was really annoying was the poor service at brekfast and poor breakfast itself not to go into further details. The wifi in the lobby and not in the room was also a bad option. The only thing because I booked this hotel was the area which was good and well connected with tube.

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
