Stayed at this hotel just for one night so that we could go to a show. Had room only but it was good. The beds were really comfortable and the towels changed the same day. The room service for the self-service tea/coffee was excellent, but take care with the bed surrounds - we came home with one or two bruises....

Stayed at the Marriott for a business event for a few days. The rate was expensive - £380 per night so I was expecting something pretty special from my King Deluxe room. However, it was very small and dull. There was room for the bed but not much else. Opening the bathroom door was difficult because the door hit the...

It's difficult to improve upon the location as guests are just blocks from Oxford Street, Marble Arch, Regents Street, tube stations, and bus stops. Like many London hotels, the Grosvenor Square Marriott is in a very old building. Because of this, many of the rooms are quite small and the lighting isn't adequate. We found the room to be very...

Stayed with 2 children in quadruple room. £270 on Saturday night. Expensive but got executive room benefits which included access to free drinks/breakfast which more than compensated for higher than average price. Absolutely delighted. Service superb, location superb. Could find no fault at all.

First off let me tell you not to ignore my review (Thinking that I'm one of those stupid picky people who complain about everything). I work for a top 5 star hotel chain and have experience in many luxury hotels. The lobby area is in no way opulent and is closer in resebelence to a tube station ticket office than...

This was an very good hotel with some interesting quirks. The employees were extremely helpful, and friendly. The rooms seemed to be recently redone, and the beds very comfortable, The internet worked great! The bathroom however was teeny, and you literally had to close the door to find the toilet. The shower in the bathtub was so narrow, you almost...

The Marriott Grosvenor is an elegant, classy hotel situated in a very quiet area of Mayfair which is agreeably located near Westminster, Piccadilly, Trafalgar and Covent Garden - 1-3 tube stops from the hotel. We chose to take the Heathrow express to Paddington and then a cab to the Marriott, convenient and reasonable. The 'tube' stations - Bond (closed the...

Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
